Does anyone utilize any form of a spread sheet for keeping track of current clients, past clients, referrals?
 
I keep an excel document with the date, customers name, what was done to their car, what car it was, how long it took, and how much it cost.

Simple to keep one too!
 
Does anyone use a sheet to mark problem areas. When you go to rent a car they have a sheet showing the body panels and you are supposed to look over the car and circle any problem area so you don't get blamed for dents that where there before you rented it.
 
I have some drawings like this for all of my cars:

I always write down the Paint Thickness Gauge (PTG) readings and what kind of sealant/wax I have on each body panel (I do a lot of testing, hard to keep track).
But I don't do this for a living, so I take my time writing stuff down.

I'm very picky with the PTG readings..
