anyone used the prima hydroseal yet?

Will Hydro Seal bond to itself? In other words, can you layer Hydro Seal?

yes

from what I understand it just doesnt like to lay down without streaks when you wash first with a polymer enhanced carwash soap. Polymers in soaps are dispersed very loosely and are different than the way they tightly setup with a purpose built sealant or sythetic wax that cures. so that would be the only issue with application.

btw, i tested it out on a panel and felt that using water was a better option than using hydro spray wax as a spritz. with the water I just felt that the product had a better feel to it, and applied more evenly and you could feel where it clearly went on. with the hydro wax, it kind of confuses the feeling of whether your applying it correctly or not.

nick, am i off base with any of these statements ?

:iagree:I was told to use Hydro Wash as it will not leave anything behind before using Hydro Seal. I've used a lot of soaps and Hydro Wash is the bomb. I like it better than Mystique.

I use Meg's GC shampoo & since there's no wax in it HydroSeal is OK to use afterward. Nick at Prima recommends a prewax cleanser before application.

mg6045 is spot on. And the use of original Hydro, as you noted, is more of a personal preference. I use water for the same reason you mentioned.

Belair-There are situations where you want to use a prewax cleaner, but it isn't a required step as long as you don't wash with an enhanced soap.

Nick, can I do a second coat within hours after the first?Feed back please

If you apply it according to directions, see Nick's video, it leaves a beautiful streak free shine.....I just tried it for the first time and had no issues at all.
