anyone using just meguiars products?

I use Meguiar's products only for basic jobs like APC, Applicator pads or their shampoo and wheel cleaner at most. They don't appeal to me for Waxes/Sealants at all. I know most people like their 105/205 for polishing but I think competition has taken polishing to a new level and Meguiar's just hasn't been able to catch up.

I personally think they are happy being a low innovation brand. Look at what Menzerna & Scholl Concepts have done to polishes. Look at what brands like Gtechniq, Ultima, Optimum, Duragloss have done to sealants. Bouncers, Angelwax, Bilt Hamber, Polish Angel for waxes. I don't think Meguiar's has any coatings, nano sealants at all.

as of now I have used only meguiars products but im slowly trying new products since becoming a member here

Meguiar's are not in the coatings as of yet but I disagree with them being a "Low Innovation Brand". Lets not forget D300 , MF cutting disc, and M101. Meguiar's is also one of leading educators of car care in the world. Granted, much of their product line are not what I would consider "Sexy" but they do work and for the most part...works pretty well.

Having said all that.... I don't use Meguiar's exclusively.

Their detailer line is fantastic, especially for those on a budget. I use a lot of their products, but as far as sealants and waxes go I usually stick to other brands.

I do the same thing. IMO for the price and performance Megs ASD is a winner for trim and tires on the less expensive details. I test almost all my products on my daily driven, parked outside, work car and ASD will last about a month on tires and trim, which is better than some more expensive products I have tried.

It lasts long enough for me to be alright with putting it on a customer's car knowing it won't wash off or fade away in a week.

A lot of the customer don't really appreciate the products or fine details of what is going on, they just want the job done. And asd lasts long enough for that. But I'm wondering if optibond would last longer.

I must add the Ultimate line is also awesome. UPW is a sealant with great durability, UQW is awesome, UC and UP are so easy to use and produce great results, basically the entire line is top notch.

I was just wondering how many of you use just meguiars products only ?

I use a lot of Meguiar's products, I really like that brand. But I do use other products too. Limiting yourself to only one brands is not the best option in my opinion. You should try to find the best product for everything you do, and it's very unlikelly Meguiar's or any other brand will have the best product for you for every situation.

I completely disagree as well, if only for the mf cutting disc. What about d300/301, m101, 105, 205, microfiber wash mitts. Hyper dressing is second to none for a water based dressing imo. If used straight and applied with an applicator it laster a very long time and has a nice natural look. Even diluted it gives incredible results. APC+ is an excellent cleaner. Mixed with hyper dressing makes an excellent quick interior detailer.

Not only does meg's have many good products. They are definitely innovative as well...if not the most innovative out there.

The only thing wrong for a detailer with the ultimate line is the price. You can get the detailer or pro line for cheaper. But I agree that they are excellent products.

They do have a coating, but unfortunately not avail here in the USA. Google M188 Deep Crystal Coating.

There you go.... Meguiar's introduced a coating back in 2010.

Why is it not available in U.S???? It feels like M101 all over again.

It was designed for use in the Asian markets to ward off harsh acid rain deposits....Not really sure why it's not for sale here. Megiuar's doesn't necessarily target the boutique product market here in the US and thus it's customer base wouldn't purchase it based on cost....just my guess. In Asian markets, Meguiar's is viewed as the cream of the crop.

I scored some while on a trip to Hong Kong. I actually have not used it...considering selling it.

Been using mostly Meguiar's since 1970. I use products from all their lines. It's a company I trust.

Tom

It's available here in the Philippines, for - if I remember correctly - about the equivalent of $100; but I also remember reading that the product was made primarily for protection rather than looks - so it doesn't have that super glossy, super glassy look other coatings have.

Funny how we are all searching for the best least costly product to do a great job. I was over my friends house the other day, he has several show quality cars. I popped the question regarding Maguires products. He brought me over to his detail cabinet, HONEST TO GOD IT WAS FILLED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM WITH EVERY PRODUCT KNOW TO MAN. Then I thought about my own cabinet same thing. Seems as though none of us are satisfied with any one line of products.

90% Meguiars here...

Same here. Their products work just fine for maintaining my cars. The bulk products are cost effective and will last for sometime. The only thing I have not tried from Meg's is any interior products.

Not all I use but I use the Meg's products that work great for me.

M105
M205
M7 on SSP
Wheel and tire cleaner
GoldClass paste wax
NXT liquid wax

These products listed work very well for me:)

They make a lot of great quality products for cheap when bought in bulk. Almost all of their stuff works as intended and there are hardly any negative reviews about most of their lineup.

But, for example, I use 303 for interior vinyl and uttg for exterior trim because, for me, those are at the top where meguiars, in this category, is just a tad below it. Still high quality but I'd rather 303 or uttg, but I have meguiars 40 on hand at all times.

90%...looking to basically go all the way in the future when the stashes run low.

I think it's great to experiment and search for your favorite products, but in our line of work / play the options can get overwhelming quickly.

I know and trust the results I get from their products and know my customers will be pleased as well. You can't beat the Detailer line pricing either. Super affordable for the most shoe-string budget you could possibly have.

If you're paid for perfection, by all means order the expensive stuff you're crazy about, the other 99% of the time, use what you like and use it often! IMO anyway.
