Anyone using magic eraser???

Indispensable item! I use them at some point on nearly every job I do. They have gotten out things when NOTHING else would touch them.

A BIG caveat though...
These things can be as harmful and dangerous as a rotary in the hands of a noob!! You have to be careful and start out slowly and softly!!

You are right. According to Proctor & Gamble; none of the Magic Erasers contain any additives, just Melamine Polymer Abrasive Foam.

I looked it up on their site.

I wonder why they foam up?

I also wonder what this means:

"Its water-activated micro-scrubbers reach into the surface grooves, lifting away built up grease and soap scum."

Pinball Forum says it is equivalent to 1500 Grit

The pure white original ME has no soaps detergents, but I'm pretty certain that the white-blue type does indeed contain soaps-detergents in them.

When i got my 2010 CC the interior was almost perfect, except for 4 little blood dots on the overhead fabric. I blotted the spots with magic eraser and they came right out. Those spots were probably there for years.

:doh:I have used them 10 yrs ago on floors that got black marks from my shoes. It works well but I wouldn't think of putting them into any part of a car. Tell me how to use them and where they can be used if you will.Feed back please

Just get them wet and use them on any surface on your vehicle. Of course as with anything always try a safe spot first.

They work great for shoe scuff marks on hard plastic trim.

Many of you probably know, Mr Clean Magic Eraser is a very hard Melamine Foam. I believe basically all of it comes from Germany, no matter the labeling.

Many of us folks use the ME for Stylus Cleaning, just a simple dunk or two into a small cube, the Stylus enters a labyrinth of millions of little tiny sharp "fingers", abrading, and scraping dirts, films, cruds off a Stylus.

I use it religiously on a $3,000 ZYX Airy 3 MC Phono Cartridge I own, a couple of dunks-cues before every LP Side.

I would use a good deal of caution for using this product for car care uses.

While it feels soft to the touch, it is a very hard substance, I cannot predict results around windshields, leather, vinyl, and especially paint.

English please. lol.....
