Anything different about cleaning and protecting a farm tractor?

I've been debating whether to ask this question because I think the answer is obvious, but I guess I will go through with it: cleaning and protecting a modern farm tractor should work about the same as an automobile, right? Our usual tools, chemicals, and techniques wouldn't be any different aside from the size and complexity, I assume. Any experience from the group on this?

One specific question I have is the shiny (unpainted) parts of the hydraulic actuators, google tells me it's the piston rod. Without getting a close look, I'm assuming those have lubrication or something slimy and will need dirt wiped off-- would someone use chemicals to clean those parts or just wipe them down? Would trim protectant be a good choice for hydraulic hoses?

The rear end of this tractor (60hp "compact utility") has a TON of painted surfaces for the frame connections, hitches, hydraulics, etc. I can't imagine trying to ceramic coat that area, I would probably just spray HydrO2 and call it good. Comments?

Forget about the hydraulics. That would be like protecting your shock absorber piston rods.

If you have painted surface I would wipe it down with a good spray wax like OCW, Fuzion spray wax or even Meguiars spray wax. Is it painted or powder coated?

This is an old tractor with super thin paint, that is pretty much come off in a lot of areas. I did not polish, just put on some ceramic wax and top it off with a ceramic spray periodically. Clearly single stage paint.

Usual stuff. The paint is typically single stage enamel. I would recommend an AIO like 3D Speed or Blackfire One Step. A good strong degreaser to clean around engine, grease zerks, wheel hubs, and hydraulic fluid areas. An APC for the steps, controls, etc. and a good vinyl cleaner for the seats.
