APC+ replacement?

This does contain sodium hydroxide. I'm not going to tell you not to use it, just use with care.

The main reason I don't use HD cleaning products is that virtually all contain sodium hydroxide, including their car wash and towelkleen. I do commend them for not hiding it by making their msds sheets hard to obtain.

Ardex proper and new wave both contain the same alkaline ingredient as APC+. Most bulk chemical providers are going to have an APC with these same active ingredients, just compare the msds sheets to find something that will behave very similar.

Thanks for the information! I looked it up myself and you are indeed correct. No wonder it cleans so well. Might have to look into other products after I finish up the two gallons I have. It doesn't bother me but considering I do this for a living I like to limit my exposure to harmful chemicals.

I use nitrile gloves from start to finish either way.

What dilution and how does she "rinse" it off? I want my girlfriend to start using OPC to clean around our apartment because she loves using expensive Lysol wipes. I'm just a bit weary since Optimum recommends that OPC be rinsed off.

I mix 2oz of OPC to 30oz of distilled water in a sprayer and it lasts my wife through almost 3 months of cleaning. With it being so diluted we don't bother to worry about removing any trace residue if there aren't any streaks left behind.

At .23 cents per oz for OPC and .89 cents a gallon for distilled water we make a 32oz bottle of OPC APC for roughly .69!

Agreed, OPC is the best.

50 a gallon? I buy OPC for 35 a gallon and with all the deals AG runs I can usually get it for 30 bucks...

I said I can get the 5 gallon size of APC+ for $50 and even at $30 a gallon that's double the price. That's still way to much if your doing this for a living. It all comes down to price per oz.

Simply Green HD , the purple one, not green, safe on bare aluminum unlike regular simply green.

Have to agree. I go through 10+ gallons of APC in the summer alone sometimes. I Dont care how good it is at that price point I'm out.
