This does contain sodium hydroxide. I'm not going to tell you not to use it, just use with care.
The main reason I don't use HD cleaning products is that virtually all contain sodium hydroxide, including their car wash and towelkleen. I do commend them for not hiding it by making their msds sheets hard to obtain.
Ardex proper and new wave both contain the same alkaline ingredient as APC+. Most bulk chemical providers are going to have an APC with these same active ingredients, just compare the msds sheets to find something that will behave very similar.
Thanks for the information! I looked it up myself and you are indeed correct. No wonder it cleans so well. Might have to look into other products after I finish up the two gallons I have. It doesn't bother me but considering I do this for a living I like to limit my exposure to harmful chemicals.
I use nitrile gloves from start to finish either way.
