I have read a lot of posts on here that many enthusiasts use a paint sealant first and then top off with a wax. My question is do you need to clean or strip down the paint surface when it's time to reapply both products? My example is this....I purchased Wolfgang's Paint Sealant 3.0 over the summer. I truly am in love with this product! I had never used sealants before and I love the durability of this product and the reflection and smooth surface is amazing! I want to take my vehicle to the next step and just purchased Pinnacle's Sovreign wax (which was on sale today). Many customers swear by applying a quality wax over their sealant of choice. Now, since you are applying wax on top of the sealant, say in 4 months, will I have to strip off all the old wax and sealant and start over? Or does it really matter? In the spring, can I just reapply the sealant, let it cure, then apply the wax without any worries? Sorry if I am rambling about my concern or question but I think you get my point. Thanks in advance for any comments!

If you have achieved the proper levels of AGO in your bloodstream.....you will see in the Spring that the paint is no longer perfect and you will break out the buffer to create perfection. This will remove whatever LSP you have on the paint

Then I think you should do a test where you apply WGDGPS on your entire hood and then apply the Sovereign on only half of the hood to see if you can assess any improvement in the look of feel of the paint

Sovereign looks great, is was to apply, but it is not durable

I liked WGDGPS topped with Fuzion slightly better and it lasted a bit longer

Neither was worth the effort or cost of product compared to EZ Glaze

I have applied EZ under WG and as a topper...very nice, darkens a bit, also does not last as a topper

This is one of my most favorite articles I've ever writtien... besides the Swirl and the Squirrel article. :D

Here's why you need to polish paint...

The pictures tell the entire story and the key point to take away from the article is that this is a GARAGE KEPT CAR!

If a garage kept car gets THIS DIRTY.... how much more so does a daily driver? Going through a wet winter?

I just scanned through this article and there's actually a ton of information, lots of pictures on the second, third and fourth pages plus links to even more info.

If you're reading this post and you've never seen or read this article give it a read-through....

And here's another VERY GOOD article that explains a lot of reasons why you need to do some type of paint polishing or paint cleaning to a daily driver after the winter.

Road Film - If you drive your car in the rain your car has road film

Thanks for the info! I will read those articles as soon as I can. I figured that the wax, etc. would be worn off by spring but I just wanted some other opinions. Love this site!
