Lately, I've been applying Liquid Souveran, paste Souveran, Fuzion, and 4*UPP, and they ALL have been drying clear and glossy in many areas on my vehicle where, I believe, I applied them the most evenly. It's as if, after I apply it and it hazes, it does not need wiped off. Seemingly, it dries perfectly clear, with a very high level of gloss.
Has anyone else experienced this, or is it just me?

Haze that is perfectly clear, with a very high level of gloss? :wow:
Your definition of haze is bassackwards from mine!

Anyway:
If you could apply these "Waxes" with the same even-ess
all over the entire vehicle---without ever having to wipe any haze:
Now wouldn't that be doing something!!

Not had that happen that I know of. How are you Appling them?

I apply the wax as perfect as I can, meaning perfectly even in a very thin layer. I know I'm leaving wax because I get an even haze, then move to the next part of the panel, then eventually to another panel. Then, when I go back to wipe, often it's very glossy and transparent where it was once hazy.
Am I going even further into insanity, or is PBMG's waxes and 4* sealant that good?

I use all those waxes and apply with buffer on a blue/black pad, they are nice even light coats, but still haze and have to buff off.

Try applying the wax so evenly that the haze left behind resembles the appearance as if you evenly sanded through half of the clear coat surface. Then let it sit for as long as it needs to become transparent.

Okay, now that football's overwith for the day, let's get back to more important things, like waxing your vehicle, and the anomolies that surface if you do it almost perfectly. Can anyone identify with what happened to me in my first post?

Yesterday the car got a coat of 845 since it was above 40 in the garage.
I applied it by hand in what I thought was an even coat.
After I was done, I sighted down the car and noticed sections on the doors that appeared shiny like I totally missed them.
It was all covered in haze when I viewed perpendicular to the panels.

Maybe it was the viewing angle?

spazzz beat me to it. I've noticed what expdetailing is trying to describe myself. And usually (in my case) the lighting was low, like in a garage in the evening with only a couple of incandescent bulbs. But looking at the panel at an angle, it's obvious the product is still there and that I've actually missed a couple of spots! :) This was years ago though, I now know better to work with better lighting!

I'll have to view it from different angles next time, eventhough it was out under sunlight.
If i have time tomorrow, i'll run a test and post pics.

You have "Magic Hands"!

I know my experience is counter-intuitive, but I believe my eyes, especially after it kept happening the second, third, & fourth times.
The trick, I think, is that the wax has to be spread so thinly (yet it initially leaves a haze) and evenly that the height of the wax in any direction is at the same height. Thin, flat and smooth wax applied that way panel after panel should yeild these results.
Note: Me waxing my minivan takes roughly 30-45 minutes. I do this to give my self enough time to lay the wax down just as described above.
Now, if your pulling your wax pad and you see streaks (high points & low points, indicated by lines)within the swipe, restart spreading there all-over again untill you get an even-uniform appearance of haze with no high or low lines. This, soon, should become clear when dry, and possibly not need rubbing off.
DISCLAIMER: I am incredably talented with my hands, and can perform many tasks with a high level of skill where others will quit and claim it can't be done, or it's impossible. Thank you to Dave Bixler's Home Improvement, Next Day Signs, and the US Army for helping develope a pair of the most sturdy & patient hands in the world. No, I'm not full of myself.

Just to note...

I machine apply all waxes and sealants unless I have to apply by hand for some special reason. I try to lay down a thin film with perfect coverage.

Applying wax like this alwasy leaves a film with a pattern that I can see and then it must be wiped off.

My thoughts are, no matter how thin you apply any wax or sealant, you should always give the finish a final wipe.

Don't know if that helps but just wanted to reply via the PM request for a reply.
