Now I know that Aquapel was bought out by Trico Industries and is now called "Trico View".
Then I ran across this item this morning at one of my neighborhood Benny's store. Aquapel offered by Simoniz. It was marked down to six dollars.
They had several packages in the store. Picked up a few at that price.

Does mention "PPG Industries" on the back.

Could these be old outdated packages????

I didn't know that but I do have a Benny's near me over in Seekonk MA, maybe I should head on over there and pick up a few...:props:

Year before last it was ain the Simoniz AAPEX booth at industry week if I remeber correctly. That packaging was also at a local auto parts store here as well.

I did not know that. But since they are in the windshield wiper business, seems like a logical transition.

Aquapel offered by Simoniz.
Hard to keep up with corporate maneuverings--SimonizUSA is huge and been in business I believe since the 1950's--that is what we used to do on the weekends---"Simonized" the car (right after we picked up our "Sanforized" clothes" LOL)

PPG Industries invented and patented "Aquapel". I imagine that others who use this brand name are likened to the users of DuPont's "teflon" brand name.

IMO...Regardless of ownership, "Aquapel" is a very, very fine product

The "Trico View" was brought up last month here .

Got these on route 44 in Raynham.

Does this mean Aquapel will still be the same stuff?
And will it still be available through AG?

Recently picked up 30 of the single use packs for a dollar each at Big Lots.

I'm sure it is the same stuff. My concern is if its old and outdated. Then again perhaps it was a recent promotion by Simoniz.

Can't speak for AG but am sure its still available. Just bought a six-pack (of Aquapel) a few months ago.
