Aquawax 12h after Nuba, OK?

I just used Pinn. painwork cleanse and put a layer of liquid souveran on top.
Can I use Aquawax after 12h? It will not strip of my nuba will it?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, I was not sure.

Why not use Pinnacle Crystal Mist or Spray Souveran over carnauba waxes?
 
Well I have both, but it has been raining alot lately. I figured that the aquawax would offer more alittle extra protection. I know that the souveran spray wax will just streak, and the crystal mist will not offer as much shine as the AW. I think I will just PM Truls we uses AW and Liquid souveran.
But, thanks for getting me thinking supercharged!
 
Thanks, how did you get hazed nuba?? Yea I will def. use it very lightly. I am used to Z-8, to much of that stuff and you have to get out your paint cleanser!

I just applied a carnuba (with no cleaning agents) and I let it haze really good, I waited about an hour maybe longer. Once it was really set up I did one pump of AW on my MF and then did the rest with 1 - 1.5 sprays per panel.
 
I dont find that AW is any more durable than Souveran Spray booster. Ive never noticed any streaking either, on either waxes or sealants. If your looking for one to better AW, look to FK425. It looks amazing on waxes or sealants alike.

Funny you mention FK425, I am getting near the end of my AW supply and I was considering getting a gallon of the 425 as replacement after all the great reviews I've heard of it.

Can it be used the same as AW? I am currently using AW on my paint, in my wash bucket (not every wash), and on my exterior windows.
 
What I ment by streaking was, If it rains within a 6-12 hour period the nuba in the souveran spray booster will streak. I have notices this on a few occasions. I think that the souveran spray is the best looking QD I have ever used, but I know it will rain tonite. I same the souveran spray for car shows, and days that I know it will not rain.

same product type ... never used in bucket of wash, but never used AW that way either. I like 425 over 10x's more than AW as it looks better, offers a glow, and the anti-static is somewhat noticable. Neither last more than a wash IMO, but I dont need them to either.
 
Ah, the only thing is, I just bought the AW. I have to use it! Maybe I will get the fk later.
I need to stop buying detailing products, and use the stuff I have...:D
 
The more time #951(AW) sets, the better it looks. Far better look than FK IMO.

A friend of mine let me use some of their prima hydro. It a spray wax as you dry. I used this after soveran and it left the truck very slick. In fact slicker then crystal mist. Does anyone know if it ok to use synthetic qd like this that leave a little proctection over carnuba? I didn't notice any streaking..

Agree, FK425 is still an excellent qd'er though. But I still like AW better and AW defintiley last more then a month for me, my glass on my truck has been beading through all the rain the last two months with just a cleaning of AIO and quick spray of AW, and still pretty slick. My front bumper on the truck is painted and it's been beading for over a month now. And one of our cars beaded for over a month and half with AW on the paint before the beads started getting looser and I used Collinite for longer durability.

I was referencing the wrong FK product.. I would compare FX-100 with #951 not FK425... Since 425 is a qd and both FX100 & AW#951 are both spray sealants.....

With that said I am going to give the FX100 a whirl once my AW#951 runs out.
 
I've used AW, Z8, FK425 and Hydro over carnauba and they all work fine. Z8 is my favorite, but they all look great. And, has been mentioned the new Souv. Spray Wax is a great carnauba booster.

In my opinion by just reading the prod desc. I would say FK425 & AW#951 are not comparable formulations. One is a QD (FK425) while the other is s spray sealant (AW#951)...

bingo, 425 has a little extra umph though over a normal qd'er, but AW is a great spray sealant. Next time it rains, pry today, I'll try to snap shot of my bumper beading from AW applied a little over a month ago (AW made the flakes pop like crazy as well). I know it still on there b/c when there's no product my bumper will just make water blobs.
