A bought one of these towels for drying my car because I don't want to use a waffle weave towel and because a lot of people recommend it and says it is extremely good quality and that it won't scratch my paint while it does absorb a lot of water. This is the description of the dry me crazy:

The name for this impressive drying towel was selected based on a music hit from the 80`s. Following the Microfiber Madness motto, "Always create the extraordinary" they developed this product to provide the best possible drying towel available!

Dry Me Crazy is made of an ultra-soft extra thick microfiber material to achieve maximum water absorption. This amazing towel easily removes every drop of water from a vehicle with no need to wring it out a single time. The weight of 1200g/m² is the highest of any drying towel on the market No matter how much water is on the paint, our Dry Me Crazy towel will soak it up and leave a streak free finish. The soft microfiber edge avoids scratches even on delicate paints. A special instruction sheet is included with each towel.

I just received it yesterday but it doesn't grab my hand's imperfections and I read in an article called "Determining the quality of a microfiber towel" this:

The first and probably most important test to determine the quality of a microfiber towel is touch. How does the towel feel to the touch? Is the microfiber cloth soft? Would you trust it on the finish of your car? Does the material “grab” the imperfections on your skin when you run the microfiber towel over the palm of your hand? You want this to happen… when you can feel the towel grabbing your skin that means it’s a microfiber towel made from split microfiber. High quality microfiber cleaning cloths feature split microfiber, after the splitting process each microfiber in a microfiber towel looks like an asterisk if you’re looking at a cross section of the fiber. The open spaces in the microfiber created by the splitting process allow the microfiber cleaning cloth to pick up and hold dirt as well as absorbing liquid. If you don’t feel a “grab” from the towel it may not be split, if it’s not split it won’t be any more effective as a cleaning towel than a cotton rag.

Is this information wrong??

I have chinchilla towels and super plush jr by cobra and they grab the imperfections on my hand but the "Dry me crazy drying towel" doesn't grab my hand.

What does it mean? Do you think the hand test really determine quality?

Thank you in advance!

i think you should just send the towel to me free of charge, it doesn't pass the hand test, so it must suck. I'll send my address, I'll pay shipping ;)

You have one of, if not the best drying towel. Stop reading and overthinking, it does no good!

:iagree: Don't overthink it, DMC towel is an exceptional product!!!

OP, I have tons of towels that do not "grab my hand" and they are my best towels. Korean Microfiber, and the softest that do not cause any marring.

I don't think they'll be any issues buying microfiber from a reputable auto detailing company. As for me, I make sure they are made in Korea, that's my main stipulation.

i use dry me a river from rag company.. pretty awesome with liquids

Where did this hand test come from? This is the second post in as many days to mention it and I have never heard of it before.

Thank you guys! I guess both are good quality then and will not scratch the paint with a proper technique.

I read it on an article called "Determining the quality of a microfiber towel", but I have read it in several wesites.

The only waffle I've used is the white one from MFT and it feels rough and I don't like it. I may try one of these DMC towels...

The hand test is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Microfiber Madness towels are easily some of the best towels available.

same for the cd test too, it's all silly. If you're worried about a towel marring, go to a odd spot on the car you can easily buff out and just try it, no need to ruin cd's or hands....

I have had the "dry me a River" towel for a few months and just started using it last week, must say it drys like crazy. I usually dab with an absorber towel then wipe with the Dry me crazy and it is damn good. the absorber gets the bulk of the heavy water off and the Dry me crazy takes the rest off with one quick swipe.

Bought one to try, bought three more after testing. Great product.
