Are Meguiars & LC polishing pads the same?

Are the yellow megs polishing pads the same as the lake country white foam (flat) pads? I have both and the seem similar but I just want to double check before I buff out a whole car with the wrong pad

They are definitely not the same at all. Some products work very well on some paints with meguiars pads. Some paints and products work well with both. Both are pretty different but still are good regulars wool pads are my favorite.

I think they are made by different manufacturers, so not the same.

More importantly, foam isn't just foam. Foam manufacturers can add multiple ingredients into the resin to give foam different characteristics.

I know it can seem like foam is foam but it's not.
