Are the "Pinnacale Twins" the right product for these swirls?

Hey guys, new to the forum. I just purchased the Griot's polisher with an assortment of pads, and also the "Pinnacle Twins" package which includes the Pinnacle Advance Swirl Remover and the Advance Finishing Polish. I plan on using the Lake Country CCS orange pad that came with the set for the swirl Remover and possibly the CCS white pad for the Polish. Does that seem like a good combination for the swirls in the picture below or is that too aggressive? I would like to try the least aggressive combination first or course.

This is being applied on my, new to me, '06 Acura TSX. I can tell that the front and rear bumpers have been repainted and there is even some burn through on an edge on the rear bumper. This is why I want to take it easy on the bumpers at least.

I plan on placing a second order from AG before I get started so if you think I should use a different product, please let me know. I do like what I have heard about Wolfgang TSR 3.0.

I plan on sealing the paint after I am finished. I can apply a finishing glaze before sealing right? I think I will order the Wolfgang finishing glaze and sealant for this part.

Thanks for all the help, and sorry about all the questions. I just want to do this right the first time.

Yes, use the orange pad. That paint, from the looks of the picture, is going to require more than a white pad to correct.

Use the Advanced Swirl Remover with the orange pad.

You will need to follow it up with the Finishing Polish on the white pad. Don't be afraid to crank the DA all the way up. Most DA's will give their best correction ability when toppped out (speed 6 on PC7424) I don't know what it is on the Griot's. Yes, you can leave it cranked even on the bumpers and all plastic panels. A DA doesn't generate enough heat to do damage and the only time damage will occur is if you are being downright careless with it. Just don't let it sit in one area for an entire minute. Just use some common sense and it will all go fine.

Thanks for the reply zinc02gt.

Definitely use the orange pad. I tried it with a white, didn't seem to do much. I only did the trunk with it. This was on a 2007 Toyota Camry.

I also have TSR and FG. I haven't had a chance to try them out because the rain won't stop >.<. I bought it because of feedback and the combo was at an awesome price.

Hey Pie, let me know how it turns out. I might be able to get started on mine today. Nasty weather coming in this weekend so that is out of the question.

Black Acura paint is quite soft in my experience. I would start with the white pad and see where that gets you. It never hurts to start with the less aggressive approach.

As for a finishing glaze, the Wolfgang Finishing Glaze 3.0 is not really a glaze, it is a finishing polish. Your Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish can accomplish the same task. :)

I would still recommend using the Wolfgang sealant, though!

Thanks Matt, I did end up purchasing that WG sealant, so that is good news. I am excited to get started.

Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover is a very capable swirl remover and finishes out really nice, if you don't have any then maybe pick up a bottle as it will offer a lot more correction ability over the Advanced Swirl Remover.
