Hi Gurus,

I had a hard time removing water spots.
Am using the PC with LC Yellow pads. The water spots are basically on the roof of the car...am running at 4 then finish it up at 5.

Any advice?

Thanks in Advance.:buffing:

I dont like to tell this story, and I cannot begin to tell you if it is safe or not but here goes.

I had a friend that use to leave his car in a parking lot at night and it consistently got bombared with sprinklers and rain. It had rain marks and water marks like no other. It then baked into the Florida sun and even looked as if the paint was discoloring from rust or other particles in the sprinklers. Polishing was a pain ... so we decided with nothing to lose to wash the car with Rustoff (think CLR) and it removed some spots and discoloring quickly.

Now I would not normally go to this length for water spotting, but maybe one of the newer decontamination kits with an acid based wash might help. Otherwise a good polish and a good rotary is likely to be needed.

I heard a mix of distilled water and vinigar works for water spots. If that doesnt work go with 100% vinigar and let it sit for a minute then wipe.

vinegar only works on recent spots that have not etched the clearcoat.

hmmmmm....thanks for all the tips guys..
perhaps..just need to have a paradigm shift that gremlins' poo will always be there as long there's water and the sun...lol.
