With all the bad news about the economy our local paper is showing regular gas prices dropping below $2.00 a gal. here in New Jersey. AAA Mid-Atlantic says there are hundreds of stations in the state selling for under the two dollar price The picture with the article shows a station posted at $1.93 a gal.. The stations with these prices are Gulf, Lukoil, Citgo along with lesser known brands such as Delta, Star and Jersey Gas. Lets keep our fingers crossed that this trend grows to all brands and spreads to the rest of the country. Everyone needs a break.

Damn, under 2 would be great. That's in Jersey where you are forced to use full service?

Down here in South Florida, we are still about 2.25 for regular. But of course, my B has expensive premium taste in petrol.

Maybe the snowbirds will bring the Jersey prices with them when they descend in a few weeks.

Over here in New Orleans,La it is $ 1.839 a gallon for regular...Im the MAN

Central NJ was $2.30/gallon for 93 Octane (Premium Unleaded). Here at home in Northern NJ, prices are about 20 cents per gallon higher.

As soon as Bush left, the gas prices went down.

I'm so happy, with all the driving that I do during the weekdays for work I can now divert the extra $$$ towards savings and Autogeek orders.

Gas prices here in PR are a mere 0.59...

per litre :D

$2.29 for regular, $2.49 for premium. That's Chevron, where I mostly fill up.

Costco had the cheapest here (Reno, NV) at 2.25 for regular and 2.59 for premium. I fill up at a local 76 that actually has 92 octane and it's only about 5-10 cents more depending on grade.

gasoline is a commodity traded as in an investment .. unfortunately the drop in pricing is more to do with its percieved value and not the supply and demand being reduced. Saudi and Russia are both set to cut production in attempt to stabilize or increase pricing so things could get quite messy !

2.39 for Shell 93 octane for me lately. but the fact that my 401k is down 37% YTD is another sotry.
