Hey Everyone,
This car has 665 miles on it, all were basically from the drive home. The owner picked it up in LA. When he picked it up, it was a hot day and the car was in the shade. Looked fine at the time, hopped in and drove home. After a long drive home, of course the car was dirty, so he took it to his regular detailer. After washing it the detailer brought up many paint issues to owner. Lots of RIDS, water spots, rotary holograms, micro marring, improper use of water spot remover which stained his window trim, you name it. So after the owner made many phone calls to GM, they sent out a rep to take a look at it. What it came down to is, if it couldnt be fixed then GM would pay to have it repainted, it was to late to order another one due to a remodel for 2014. Needless to say they picked up the bill on this one.
So about 20 hours later and some mountain dew the owner was extremely happy with the outcome and there was no need for repaint or replacing the window trim.
Far as products/tools used- I had to use a a makita rotary on a couple deep scratches, flex 3401, and rupes. Used a variety of meguiars and menzerna compounds and polishes. Topped with WG Fuzion
On to the pictures, before-
