Attn Collinite 845 users...question

wow, thanks for the video A4....I have alot of shaking to do cuz it's pretty thick right now. Thanks to all

i always storage this wax on basement, so it always like liquid condition

I get a squirt!! First time I used it, I was expecting a mist but its too thick to be atomized!!

I spray it onto one panel, wipe it on all over so there's a uniform layer on it.

move onto another panel, same thing. Then maybe move to a 3rd panel, depending on weather, etc.(cold weather = no premature drying!)

Then, I go back to the first panel and remove it with a fresh microfiber towel and then remove the excess off of the subsequent panels!

Really easy to work with and it eliminates the mess I usually create with it and a sponge applicator.

But You can also use it to squirt minimal product on the sponge applicator if you prefer working with it.

I also tried it with the WOWO method. It works, but didn't test the durability after this!

Having not seen your squirt, I would think that you are over applying based on my usage. I only use three drops (from a flip up top) per panel after the first panel on which I use 5-6 drops. Like I've said I have not seen how much is in your squirt.

I apply with a 4" LC red pad either by DA or by polishing pal. So maybe the MF soaks up some product. My .02.

You're right, 1 squirt is definitely much more than 3 drops!(wow!!)

I'm switching to using it with sponge applicator as I cant afford to ruin MFs!! lol

This weekend I had a chance to wash the bosses [wife's] DD and apply some 845. While wiping on the paint I decided to do the side windows also with a very thin coat. If you live in a climate which gets frost overnight as I do and vehicle sits uncovered as ours do you should try this and see how easy the the windows are to clean off in the morning.

For sure :xyxthumbs:

You don't have to shake so much as just warm it up a little. Hold the bottle under your arm or in a bowl of warm water or something, shake a little, repeat.

Do a search. It's been discussed a million times.
Why did you even bother replying with that? You could have just said "yes its normal" since you already knew.. that takes less words and you would've actually contributed something. It's not like the internet is running out of space and this extra thread is detrimental to these forums.

Diggin the new avatar, Zliegen!!! Good luck with the new ZOOM ZOOM!!

Thank you very much! :) I feel very fortunate to have this car, it puts a smile on my face every time I look at it and definitely every time I drive it.

If anybody else that wants to wish me good luck with it, I would be very grateful! Haha, my luck hasn't been so hot lately.

And here's another good luck your way. :xyxthumbs:

Thank you! :righton:

It's so rare to have an online community with such kind people, as the internet allows people to be a jerk anonymously.

I wish every forum had so many kind and well meaning people on it as this one. :awesome:

I'll second that zliegen.....it's not like this is an area where you can just do trial and error. I'm sure most of us were a little hesitant when it came time to "experimenting" on our vehicles with a variety of chemicals, cleaners and waxes. Some mistakes can be a pretty costly one if one rushes into detailing and paint correction and screws something up. I'd much rather ask a simple question and get info instead of ruining a paint job. I've learned the hard way many times with Harleys and working on muscle cars and drag racing. INFO is priceless!!! Going in blind is expensive lol!!! You guys are all VERY helpful and I'm looking foward to trying to get results I've seen from many of you in the Show and Shine area. Now if mother nature would just cooperate!

just applied 845 today over a coat of DP poli sealant. W..O..W!! the victory red paint has so much shine and depth in it now. i also had to warm it up in some hot water. then shake it well. applied with a terry cloth applicator and removed with a MF. very easy to work with. left no streaks or powder.

Yeah GMC. 845 is one of the easiest if not the easiest wax/sealant to remove. And don't think you could get dust from it even if you tried. I left some dry on my hood the other day and left it for a little while and it finger swiped clean without a streak and buff off like nothing was even there. Really like 845 and would only compare it to Klasse at this point, but there's no comparison for ease of removal b/w the two.
Not a fan of 845 w/ a spray nozzle. A little cleanup required if you are prepared for the pressure the nozzle puts out w/ 845 going through it; sticking to a few drops on an applicator pad since so little goes so far.
