Audi A4 Clean`n polish`d

Finaly i got the time to do this car, washed it and clayed it 3 or 4 weeks ago (pinnacle poly clay, Pinnacle clay lube), and saw then that it needed a "swirl job"

The usual team went to work when washing:

98 Audi A4

Applyed ArmorAll in the wells, and cleaned the engine with soap and Meguiars chenille mitt. Applyed ArmourAll tire foam on all the plastic in the engine bay and let the car run while i got done on the outside.

After that i left the car in the garage for 2 hours to dry, before i went on with the swirl/scratch removal.

The Audis must have a pretty hard clearcoate, because this car was WAY harder to get swirl free than "newer" cars i have done.

I used the PC and orange pad with Meguiars MG 83, but should probably have used rotary and MG 84 on green/yellow pad to get it 100% good (got it 90-95% good)

Got to get a new rotary
My knees asks for kneepads
98 Audi A4 have a hard CK
Alot of coffe makes the PC work faster (not just DA bu DDA, Dual, Dual Action)
Reading the AGF makes you learn stuff like AA tire foam in wells and engien bay. (thanks Justin)
Did i mention that my KNEES hurts? oh well, they dooooo

Looks good, the engine bay looks super wet very nice. Curious though, the old AA used to crach things up over time is this still the case or has the formula been changed?

I know what you mean abou your knees, you need to get your self a litle chair, I got two now...cheap chairs and height adjustable. It took me one detail to find out about the knee pains and I'm only 28 years old hahaha.

P21s!

Its mostly the same as the one you guys get from AG (both cleans great), biggest difference is the colour and smell.

Lets just say that you dont open this innside, kids thinks im farting all the time when i clean the car "no its the wheel cleaner" and the reply "YEAH right"

The Company thay makes S100 P21s and a few other car care products is called Dr.O.K Wack Chemie..they are in Germany I believe....I believe the DR.Wack was in on the Klasse sealants at one time...or should I Carlack68....and then ventured forward to his own stuff...

Got the swirls out, but it looks like that at 1 of the 100 times it has been washed the washer used a sponge with 1 stone in it, not much, but its in a circle patern, and deeper than all the rest of the swirls

Its a A8 you got isnt it Pirex? dont know, but the paint is probably alike on all Audis...

audis definitely have one of the harder clearcoats out there...great job cleaning it up...invest in some gel knee pads or a chair...will save your knees and thighs a ton of stress and fatigue

That Audi looks great Truls. Sorry to hear the kids think you're farting while using that P21S gel . I think the P21S company has a real sense of humor and wants to make their customers smell bad . That wheel well shot is awesome, looks so nice and clean.

Truls the Audi came up well nice job mate.

As for the hard clearcoat i've started using the pc a bit different, spread polish on speed 3 then using no pressure slowly work the polish until it flashes, then spray the pad with water up the speed to 4 and rework the area then the same at speed 5, takes alot longer but great results.

Great job on the hard clear cote by the way, I know Audis are known for it!
