Good evening. what a busy week for me this coming Hari Raya, so many appointments and stuff to do. the traffic also suffer quite badly due to everyone "balik kampung". to people who driving back kampung, please drive safely on the road, please aware any weird object on the highway that will caused accidents, check your engine oil, battery, tires, radiator water. apply any water repellent if needed on your front windscreen for better vision due to raining session. commercial says "ingat-lah orang yang tersayang" so please be careful and have a pleasant drive! Selamat Hari Raya!

back to the topic, i have another opportunity hands on with KC again after our last detail session. this is a 5months old A4, this car being taken care properly by the owner until we cant spot any swirls on the surface with halogen, unfortunately we could spot some RIDS caused by washing. other than that, this car is perfectly fine. moving any further, this car washed with OPC & ONR for deeper cleaning then followed up by clay to remove above contaminants etc like tars. after the surface preparation was done, the front grill, windscreen, rims, spotlight are wrapped with newspaper to avoid any compound/polish residue. the trim also being taped properly to avoid any cutting. after taped everything, surgery begins..

1st test spot is on the rear bonnet, spotted some RIDS and decided to bring out the least aggressive polish and polishing pad to remove it. not really satisfied with the result, later on we tried to step down to more aggressive compound with double sided wool for more cutting power. 2nd test spot is on the hood.

very minor one almost i cant capture with my camera

introduce Opti-Clean, just spray & wipe. the polymers will give you a great beading and slick to touch on interior/exterior surface.

after we done coating on the engine bay then we moved to exterior. we use IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) diluted 1:3 to wipe down the whole exterior surface to remove any existing polishing oil prior coating.

This should be included in the proper how-to's of detailing.

Anyone can slap on a product however many still don't realize that the final result hinges in the quality of prep work.

Polishing and creating a defect free finish is paramount to creating the perfect shine. This preparedness paves the way for the final coating, and in this case Optimum Opti-Coat.

Simply an outstanding job worthy of a nice applause!! :dblthumb2:

Loooks Fantastic! But someone really messed up . . . your steering wheel is on the wrong side . . . :/

Ive loved Audis ever since the car chase scene in RONIN!! Audi s8 with Nitrous....YES PLEASE!!!!!!

I don't know what a balik kampung is, but I know what an awesome job you did on the Audi! Opti-coat the engine, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.
