Audi A6 paint correction and polish

Finished the Audi A6 this evening. Probably had close to 14 hours into it....

Materials used:
Mequires clay bar and lube
Menzerna Power Gloss with yellow pad
Menzerna Intensive Polish with orange pad
Menzerna Final Polish with white pad
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant with Blue pad
PC DA machine

Ended up using the Menzerna 1000pretty hard cutting compound to get through some of the worst stuff, and even then I hit a few spots with 2000 grit to color sand some defects out. This was followed by the Intensive polish and then the final polish and finaly the Wolfgang sealer...

This should give you an idea of the swirling I had to deal with. A 17 year old drives this car, and you KNOW it's not cared for properly...

Looks good...

Except for a few exceptions I've found most Audi's have fairly hard paint. Too bad car manufactures don't work together with paint manufactures and create paint systems that do all the things we want from a paint job to protect our auto investments PLUS make them easier to work on and spray more of the top coat on so we have plenty of material to work with.
