"Day One" was spent entirely on cleaning the wheels and decontaminating the surfaces. 18 hours in on this one and a long long way to go. So far only wet sanding, Rupes Green pad, Rupes Zephir, Rupes Microfiber, Megs Microfiber. More to come and this project develops.....

How does an Audi TT get that bad? Awesome results nonetheless

Pictures really don't describe the severe damage to this car. Two stages left even on the panels that look better. A very long way to go............

The car must have been a total disaster for you to have spent so much time already and be at this stage of the job! The 50/50 hood shot made me cringe.

Nice work!

How do you charge for such a job and is it worth it with all of the hours spent?

Fantastic results. That Rupes+Zephir must put down work to pull off 50/50's like those. Outstanding job. Sub'ed

Do they sell green scrubbies in the wash mitt isle and someone screwed up?

Nice work! Are you wet sanding by hand or machine? What grits did you use? I am assuming you took paint readings?

That is some job, hope you get $$$$$

I wet sand using Rupes Duetto, Rupes Mini, and GG 3" polisher using 3m Trizact 3000-5000 grit papers. Yes, I am getting paid :xyxthumbs:

Ive found audi paint to be very 'hard' and can appreciate the work you've put into this one!well done.

For work like this I give a base estimate that becomes a firm quote only after I do a few test spots. I also make the customer check in and look at it as work progresses. This way I don't end up putting 60 hours of work into a job and have the customer say "I hate it."

'Wow'2, this is not detailing...

This is ART! If you were me to look your work 'from outside', I state you would be as amazed as I am.

I admire all your efforts on working and sharing your experience with us.

Wow, Wow, Wow!

PS: Looks like you really went into the sanding step after that preliminar tests you've put on thread some weeks ago.

Kind Regards.

Rupes Green pad + Rupes Zephir or Scholl Concept's S3 Gold is one of my favorite combinations. Zephir is better for correction, but Scholl Concept's wins hands down in restoration after wet sanding. Ultra long working time and magnificent finish. Then again maybe that's just me? I work very slowly compared to others.

I can't help but keep repeating your statement 'I work very slow', every time I'm working, since I also work slow. So, you're not the 'only turtle' detailing cars!

Indeed, your phrase is what keeps me moving on: I work slow, but so do others high level detailers lol

Another thing I've read about you: ~'I polish really slow', is another variant I think about when polishing, since I polish really slow too.

Kind Regards.
