Auto Detailing Day at Tuscarora Dave's (South Central PA)

Just in case anyone coming to the event knows a thing or two about paintless dent removal...I found this today. Ack!

Sorry to see that dent!! Ouch!!

I had to kill some time yesterday while waiting on a client over in Mechanicsburg. I called BucboyInPa (Matt) and asked if I could swing by and check his shop out. He was gracious enough to oblige.

We had a very nice visit and he sent me off with a goody bag of products to help out with the detailing day. He threw a few banners in the bag as well.

Thank you Matt!!

Some of you might remember my friend Josh who used to help me out at the shop from time to time. He hung this SCHOOL BUS sticker on the wall at my shop, after peeling it off a traded in bus quite some time ago. He offered to take it down to make room for the banners Matt gave me.

Looks a whole lot better now.

And this one...Not sure how well this is going to work there..might get in the way of pulling my creeper down..dunno we'll see. It does look good though.

Matt said he might make it over to our detailing day, though he works in his own shop on the weekends. He was nice enough to offer up one of his Rupes polishers for the day if no one attending brings one.

As for the weather, I'm not going to waste a minute of today worrying about that. Hey..worst case, we do it later in the spring or early summer. I'll say it again though...Pudge and I will be working on his Mustang rain or shine, and if it does rain, anyone is still welcome to come out if they'll drive in the rain.

Alittle bling in the work place is fine :xyxthumbs:

Hey Dave,
It was great to see you and your neighbor. You really are a great guy, anything I can do to help you out just let me know. Those banners look great in the shop. Good luck, let me know if you need anything,or want to use any polishers.

Thanks Matt, will do. Jeff and I had fun visiting too. I appreciate it.

Dad07 (Tim) is also sending a package with a couple pads and a few surprise sample products to be checked out/tested at our detailing day.

Thanks a million Tim, and it was a real pleasure speaking with you on the phone finally.:dblthumb2:

No problem Dave, it's my pleasure. Great conversation we had indeed.

WOW! What a great set of guys we have here (And girl) THANK YOU BOTH Matt and Tim! That was unnecessary but VERY appreciated!

OK so, this morning I got the Formula out of hibernation and took it for a quick trip down the road. I will be taking it on some short trips here and there for the next week to get him ready for the trip to PA! Looking forward to seeing you all there! I will be leaving EARLY Sunday morning and should arrive around 10am ish.

This would be a cool yearly meet and I would replace my annual GM Carlisle trip with this!

Looks great Dave!
Looking forward to seeing you again and meeting some fellow Geeks. I will be out rain or shine.

I'm always up for hosting one of these at my house :dblthumb2:

Quick update for y'all...

I scheduled an appointment to have that nasty little mystery dent repaired on Monday. Still no idea how that got there. So it's a $150 mystery.

Since Dave was kind enough to offer up Saturday as well so I figured why not head down a day early and learn as much as I can before Sunday when the pressure will be on. I'm planning on staying overnight and already booked a room locally. I'm staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, 185 Beacon Hill Blvd, 17070.

You got enough parking? lol :xyxthumbs:

Probably..... Several cars can fit in my driveway, several more on my lawn, and there's always the street. It's just a matter of moving cars around.
For those detailing, there is plenty of garage room.

Just a thought :D

Will be nice to see you again too. Weather isn't looking so good so far for that weekend. That can change though.

I'm excited about you bringing your Mustang. Hopefully the weather will change a little over the next week so some people will still show up.

^+1 on the pics part.

IF you guys want, you guys could take a ton of pictures (in the thousands preferably lol) and send them to me. Either email or burn them on a CDR and I can edit the video for you guys and post it up on YouTube for everyone to see.

Side Note: the more pictures the better. like Dad07 said "Pics, pics, pics and more pics please!!!!"

my detail meet went great! and I am sure your guy's will too!!!
