Auto Detailing Day at Tuscarora Dave's (South Central PA)

I'm excited about you bringing your Mustang. Hopefully the weather will change a little over the next week so some people will still show up.

Dave you are going to have a full house.....who in their right mind would pass up on this kind of event? learning from a down to earth, real world person, with passion for the craft and his fellow man.

I think no one. just my .02

Hopefully that sticks for this event. That's perfect weather.

the weather is going to be great. you wait and see!

I'll be bringing my camera and will be sure to snap a decent amount.

thank you , thank you, thank you.

Ill bring a camera but I usually have my hands doing other things and forget about the camera. I will try.

See post #190, Dave posted some pics...

Also I just went down to gather the stuff I want to bring and realized I have alot of "left over" things I brought home from when I worked at AutoZone that I want to GIVE AWAY to any newbies who need/want it. Its not TOP SHELF stuff by any means but for FREE if someone there is just starting out and has nothing that may help.

I know (inexcusable SMH :D ) I really would have loved to attend, if Dave throws another one in the future I will plan more accordingly in attending.

Well if everyone sends me pictures I can contribute by making a video. I could even PhotoShop me in there to make it seem like I attended lol. (obviously kidding about the photoshop, but not the making the video part)

Side Note: I got Son1c's wax yesterday in the mail. "Detail Box", I'd love to make a video of it, but making a video of just applying wax is boring to me. So I need to think of a unique idea on how to do a waxing video. (Protowax 93)

HAha thats awesome!!

^+1 on the pics part.

IF you guys want, you guys could take a ton of pictures (in the thousands preferably lol) and send them to me. Either email or burn them on a CDR and I can edit the video for you guys and post it up on YouTube for everyone to see.

Side Note: the more pictures the better. like Dad07 said "Pics, pics, pics and more pics please!!!!"

my detail meet went great! and I am sure your guy's will too!!!
Hi Art.

I'm really glad that your detailing event went so well. Thank you for offering your skills in editing the photos into a video. I'll be sure to snap a bunch of photos, and I think I can figure out how to burn them to a CD-R. I'll be in touch with you then to get a shipping address to send the CD-R to.

I'll be bringing my camera and will be sure to snap a decent amount.
Great!! As Tim and Art said, the more the better.

Thank you Tim, and thanks again for sending some goodies to help out with the event. Wish you could make it.. I'll definitely take lots of photos.

This usually happens to me too. I already told Andrew (MightyPudge) that I need to be able to hover around the event to answer any questions, offer insight into technique for any newbies to polishing and detailing in general. While I'm hovering around the event, I'll be snapping lots of photos too.

You'll be fine, as long as you watch out for the potholes on either side of the lot entrance. They're pretty deep but they won't be an issue.

PISH POSH!!! I am driving 271 miles! lol
I think that's fantastic that someone would drive that far for one of my events.

^ oh phooey!!!

That'd blow me away if you'd fly clean across the country for an event at my shop. You'd always be welcome if you did.

That's very nice of you to do.

I also have some stuff that's not part of my normal routine (products wise) that would be free for the taking if someone thought they could use it. I've been pushing it out of the way for too long now, but recently placed it all on a shelf out of the way to streamline things a bit.

I decided to go shortly after I posted that. I'll see you there.

That's great!! I hope it wasn't a pressured decision. I'll have to update the list cause I got a few recent PM's so I'll be sure to add you to the list if I hadn't done so already.

A few last minute thoughts... Doors are at 8am until "Dark Thirty"

Camping chairs or lawn chairs, please bring your chairs as I only have 2 chairs at the shop.

I mentioned in the beginning of this thread that my sister was wanting to put some food together for this event. She's still going to put some stuff together for us, just got off the phone with her. She's going to make home made potato salad, macaroni salad, and a special little crock pot thing she does with little all beef hot dog pieces wrapped in bacon and marinated in a yummy honey lemon sauce.

I was going to put out some all beef hot dogs in a crock pot with plenty of rolls, ketchup, mustard, relish etc.

We did talk about the local pizza shops, Chinese Buffet, etc. which there are plenty of them locally, and (of course) you're welcome to handle your fare as you wish.

You guys are more than welcomed to (but not expected to) bring whatever food things you want, along with you. Definitely no need for it but if you had a yummy finger food dish or side dish you like to make, by all means you're welcome to bring it along.

Again, I'll have plenty of bottled drinking water in the fridge at the shop. If you prefer soda (or POP) you'll have to bring that along with you.

Dave,
I will be making an appearance at some point during the day also. I will probably be leaving Arlington between 11-12, so i will probably get there sometime after 1:00. So I will be late to the game, but would love to stop in and meet everyone at least.

Dalton had asked about bring my Rupes 15 and mini. If no one else is bringing either of these tools we can make arrangements for him to pick them up this weekend and he can take them along with him so people can try them out.

That's great Kevin! I'd say, if you don't mind sending the Rupes machines with Dalton, do it. I haven't spent much time behind the Rupes, and other than to say it's got a larger orbit and feels good in my hands, I can't say much about it. It'd be nice to have a few there for people who want to give it a spin.

Drop on in whenever you can, we'll be there.

I just got a package out of the mailbox from Tim (Dad07)
