Does AG have any business cards that list both the store and forum websites? I think these would be awesome promotional tools that customers can use to spread the word about AG! The cards could even include something about how new members get 20% off their first order.

I can't tell you how many people I've told about AG (making sure to specify that it's .net not .com), wishing that I could just hand them a business card instead.

AutoGeek should either include a few business cards in every order or have a free business card option we can add to our cart, kind of like how you can with samples.

Maybe there could even be something for forum members too. For example, senior members could get 100 free business cards with their forum name on them. Another example would be business cards with a referral code that gives that forum member a percentage of the business they refer, either as cash or a store credit.

I'd go out and get my own cards made, but I don't think AG would be too happy with me using their logo...

Thoughts?

Why would AG want us running around with their logo on a business card for our own use? Usually when I get/give buusiness card, it has info and logos pertaining to me/them. If I were AG I'd never do that, someone could misrepresent the company. Too many risks if you ask me.

I guess I should have clarified...

I wasn't talking about business cards in the traditional sense of the word. More like business card sized promotional cards that we can hand out to people with information about AG and AGO.

The separate forum member "business card" I mentioned would, again, promote the forum, and only have our forum name on it so that the person we give it to can find us. Include it as part of a phrase like "I'm an AutoGeek and you should be too! Look me up on the forums under the username erichaley". The cost associated with this would be minimal, and could be a nice way to thank those that have contributed a lot to this forum.

You have a valid point though. I'd say to design them in a way that they don't come across as a business card, rather a way to easily share information on how to find AutoGeek. Mini-ads if you will...

So you want a business card, that's not a business card? Not trying to insult Evan, just saying it doesn't make much sense for them to do. I know people want to help and have stuff to hand out. But what do you usually do when a stranger hands you something, you save it or a day or two and chuck it right?

A day or two? try till the next available trash can...

"Here, you throw this away!"

i think Eric's referring to a promo card. I get these a lot at track days and whatnot, advertising the track, website, and any upcoming events, vendors, etc..

Not a bad idea, hell - AG gives you a 'promo' thank you flyer in your order that I've shown ppl before.

That's precisely what I'm referring to. It's not exactly convenient to carry a promo flyer around...
