Hard to justify buying 7+ jars of wax unless your waxing 10 cars a day...well at least for me. I can understand buying 7+ jars of different types of wax becuase that is fun.

I did pick up a tub of the HD wax though. So far I like it.

always good as a gift, i'm sure all my friends will love this as a gifts :)

Pep boys is not on clearance.

I have my one tub, and might buy another. I don't see any need for more.

On a side note, I just picked up some Auto Glym shampoo at Advanced Auto for $8. The salesperson said he had never seen it before and thinks they are gonna start carrying the line. I hope so, Pep Boys to damn hard to find.

Advance seems to be picking up quite a few new lines of detailing products lately; I've seen them start to carry more of the pro-line Meguiar's stuff as well. Trouble is their prices are way out of line compared with ordering from AG. Still, it's good to know in a pinch that I can pick stuff up if I run out mid-detail.

Of course, it used to be Murray's was my go-to for detailing stuff; now that O'Reilly's bought them out it's hard to find good products there anymore.

All this talk I had to run to Wally World, sure enough, $20. I have like four new waxes to try out. Got some of those cheap totes for detail stuff while I was there.

Why is the foam pad that came with it wet/moist? Can I use this pad with other wax?

I am sure you can. I only use if for AG though. The instructions say it is go be used with a moist pad. I wet mine with warm water and squeeze it out. Goes on nice and thin then.

If you let it dry out, it will become as hard as a rock so make sure it is wet when you store it. A plastic zip lock bag works great. If the pad does dry out, you can re-moisten it and the applicator will return to its original softness.

Very True. they get very hard when dry.

Not 100% sure what you were trying to say, but if you were asking why it is moist, it helps the wax spread out better so you don't apply it to thick. It can be a little bit of a pain to get the wax to spread, and hard to buff off if you apply too much. But if you get a nice thin layer it comes off no problem.

If you can get this wax, buy it! It has truly surprised me, very slick and user friendly. I found it at Walmart for $20 and have seen at Pepboys for as high as $50. I found it to be a cross between Pinnacle Souveran, in how easy it is to use and Collinite paste wax, in that it speads simular and smell chemically. I tried it as directed, apply it on the moist pad and found it very hard to spread it around and it seemed like it wasn't going on evenly. I then used a regular yellow wax pad and that would work better. If you can get it, try it out and see for yourself.

I applied using a soft pad and at pcxp and it went on really easy/thin. Then removed it without any problems.

The wife got me some for valentines day!! She said they were $25 at Wal Mart :) 2 moist applicators, mf, and wax smells good too! Slid right out of the can!

This weekend is all mine muhaha :)

Just picked mine up at Walmart the other day too! :props: Now, all I have to wait for is some decent weather
