I know some people have talked about the 2 technologies and while the scratch resistant paint has been around on Mercedes since late 2003/early 2004, finally Infinity has the new auto healing paint on the EX35. It should be out shortly.
EX35 can be seen here: First Video Demo of the Infiniti EX35 Around View Monitor-Exclusive! - AutoSpies Auto News

I am anxious to hear what people feel about this technology once they try it or work on it.

Also, has anyone worked on any scratch resistant Mercedes? Automotive Engineer PLUS - Materials

Again, would love to hear any feedback on the current scratch resistant technology and the soon to be out paint healing technology. :p

Nissan offered this about two years ago in a tech article, problem is it has a limited lifetime and knowing Nissan paint in general, will flake or chip off before healing a scratch.

lol, I guess I can attest to that considering I have owned/own a number of Nissan's.
I had just remember reading an article as well, but never knew if it had gone into production...seems like it is now on the EX35 at least.

How about that Benz nanotech ceramic lacquer...run across that yet? Just curious if it makes a real difference or not.

I have heard there is a noticable difference on Maybachs ... I think it was posted on Autopia recently.
