Autogeek Community Comes together (1996 Ram 3500)

What a great get-together for all you guys in that area. Might be a beginning of an annual re-union.
Great work. A lot of new friends made.

Looks great! This just shows that some good people are still out there

It was a great experience. At the beginning we didnt know each other after a few minutes we had a plan on how to tackle this job. During the job we shared stories. By the end of the project we were joking around. I was glad I was able to be part of this. Tried a lot of new products

As promised, here's a few more pics from my phone...

Here's a few before and afters. The first is the side window after it wash washed and dried. As you can see the water spots present:

Now after a couple passes of Pinnacle's GlassWork Water Spot Remover:

It was the first time I used the product and was impressed w/ how easy it was on and off. Not a lot of effort to remove these spots. I think I made a believer out of Ryan AKA Espyone, as he got to try it out on the windshield.

Here's a couple shots of the CG Trim Gel doing its thing:

Great stuff. Ryan worked on the bumper and it came out great. This was David's bottle and I got to try it out on a small area. A little goes a long way. I definitely will be picking up a bottle soon.

The mud flaps in the back had to taken care of, as they would stand out in a bad way compared to the cleaned up bumper. But it would be too much work to rub in that Trim Gel on each one. Luckily I had the DP's Trim Detailer in aerosol spray. I just spray an even coat and lightly buffed w/ a MF towel:

Here's a shot of the front, that came out nicely. A lot of effort went into cleaning this up. The trim came out great using the same product as the rear bumper. The chrome needed some love. During the wash David used some of his P21S polishing soap, which helped clean it up quite a bit. After, while Ed and David were applying the wax to body panels, Ryan and I worked on polishing the chrome. Ryan applied CG Metal Shine, while I used some Mother's Chrome Polish. Both products worked great and went on easy and buffed off easily:

Ryan also did the headlights, but I don't recall what product/pad he used. I'll let him chime in on that.

Here's just a couple nice pics of a shiny truck. You can see my beater DD in this reflection shot:

And another nice sun shot showing off the nice pop of the flakes and color contrast of the two-tone paint job:

Again, it was a great time had by all and encourage everyone else to do something similar in your own area. You won't regret it.

Great Job Guys......What a super way to pay it forward!

I am blessed to be in the company of the members of AGO!

Great pics Andrew! Yes the Pinnacle's GlassWork Water Spot Remover will be in my next order for sure. Stuff worked great. Easy to use. Process was a 3" backing plate with a blue pad that Andrew had. Just a couple of section passes and the spots removed with ease.

I have used another spot remover from CG and that did not do any justice.
Pinnacles spot remover gets my vote.

The headlights were polished out with a 4" MF Surbuf pad that David let me try out on my PC. The product used was Megs 205. The lights were hazy and a bit yellow. The pad and product brought back total clarity. With only three to four section passes it worked well.

I really loved those Surbuf pads. Great quality. I will also be putting those on my next list of things to get.

Great work again guys.

That really was a lot of fun today - word is there's a black Navigator that needs rescuing :)

LOL... Almost missed this comment Ed. My Navi is in need of the same love Bruce's truck got. One day it'll get that mirror finish. One day.

Well done guys - what an amazing turnaround (and holy cow that thing is huge)!

Awesome effort - stuff like this is what makes this forum so great...

Thanks! And you're not to go unnoticed either. Thank you for your generosity in sending Bruce a care package from 2,500 miles away. :xyxthumbs:

Great work! Touching and awesome at the same time

Thanks for your support early on as well, with swinging by Bruce's house and taking some pics and leaving him with some products too. :dblthumb2:

Thanks for remembering that product. I need to get a hold of some of those pads too. Unique pads for sure.
