Autogeek Racing!

A Post from Bruno yesterday....

Team Autogeek heads to “Hotlanta”

Hey everyone, this weekend the Autogeek racing team gets back on track at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals in Atlanta, GA. We’re coming into this event on a 4 race winning streak and hope to keep the momentum going as our season finally gets into full swing. Right now, we’ve got fresh motors that are making big power and that has translated into some big numbers on the track during some recent test sessions. Now all we need is lady luck on our side as we enter into three straight weeks of racing!

This weekend should be exciting as Max is flying in to help us debut the Autogeek.net color scheme on the NHRA circuit. I’m hoping Max will bring some good weather and the aforementioned lady luck necessary to get us into the winner’s circle! If you happen to be in the Atlanta area this weekend, I encourage you to make your way over to the track in nearby Commerce, GA and say “hello”. If you can’t make it to the track there is a live audio feed you can listen to on NHRA.com. If you want to learn more about our racing program you can always log onto www.brunomasselracing.com as well.

I plan on posting updates, race results and a pic or two along the way, so stay tuned. Our goal this season is to capture another NHRA World Championship, it’s not going to be easy, but nothing worth having ever is!

One more thing, if you haven’t got yourself one of the new Autogeek.net racing “performance tees” hurry up and do so before there gone, Max tells me they are going fast!

Talk Soon,
Bruno

Well Max has sent me some photos straight from the track...
I hear Bruno ran the quarter mile in 7.01!

Good Luck Bruno! Wish I was in Atlanta that weekend.

Nice paint job...hope it's swirle free.:awesome:

Well Guys, the winning streak came to an end today at the NHRA Summernationals in Topeka, KS after 23 straight round wins.

We once again qualified #1 and were marching through the field when parts breakage ended our day in the semi-finals. Its frustrating to go out like that, especially when we had a significant horsepower advantage over the competition, but thats racing!

Thanks for the support and we'll look to get back in the winner's circle this coming weekend in Brainerd, MN.

Bruno the streak was great while it lasted, I know you WILL get back to winners circle fast.

What kind of part failure did you have?

Good Luck at the next one!

Be sure to check out TruckU on SPEED tomorrow, 5/27 at 8:30am eastern, as we unveil the Autogeek.net race car!

Great Job Bruno! It's that Elmhurst bred/york duke winning mentality shining through. LOL

Thanks Louie, yeah its probably the Coach Grider inspirational speeches that i'm reliving ;)

Hey Guys,
Just thought I'd drop in and catch you up to speed on things. Its been a tough couple of weeks on the track. We've qualified well..#1 four of the five events this season, but haven't visited the winners circle since Atlanta in mid-May. We've had a situation or two of overpowering the track and a touch of bad luck, but looking to get back in the winner's circle this weekend at the NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals in Norwalk, OH.

Last Friday night we did some "testing" at our local track and made the quickest and fastest run ever with the car, but lost the motor in the process! We might be down a bit in the horsepower department this weekend (with one of our backup engines) but hope there's still enough under the hood to get it done. Wish us Luck!
Bruno
