Now for the real work to start, I always start off with the wheels after prepping them with Megs APC+ on the particular vehicle I had to use Dawn as a pre soak for the wheel wells (stained from dirt and mud) dressed with Poor Boys Trim Restorer

Now on to the body and paint condition....tried M105 with orange LC Pad didn't do the job on paint, went to a old trusted friend Menzerna SIP and found the results I wanted, lots and lots of swirls and fine scratches (brillo pad)

I'm sure I won't get win anything, but I am really proud of my first FULL detailing job on my new 2011 Audi Q5. I had the dealer give it to me right off the truck and it still had all of the protective shrink wrap still on it when I started this morning. It took me approximately 5 hours, but it was totally worth it. The paint is nearly flawless. Here was my process:
-ONR wash with 2 bucket method and grit guard in rinse bucket, some of the adhesive from the shrink wrap was tough to scrub off and unfortunately the windshield was not protected so it got a lot of bugs on the ride up from the Port of Houston.
-Minimal clay bar work on the hood because there were 1 or 2 VERY MINOR light scratches. The rest of the car more than passed the "baggie" test and totally did not need the clay bar.
-A full polishing with Menzerna Polish PO85RD using the Porter Cable 7424XP and a black pad. This is the first time I have detailed a car and I found this process pretty easy after watching Mike's videos. The polish was not as easy to wipe off as I thought so it took forever. I used a few of the MF towels I already had.
-Wheels sealed with Michelin Brake Dust Repellent. I know, I know... I already had this laying around and I know it probably wont work, but I used it anyways.
-Tires dressed with Meguiar's
-Sealed with WDGPS using a separate black pad, wow, this came off way easier than the polish!
-Touch up some small bug sap spots on the windshield with Finish Kare detailer. This worked really well and smelled great!

PO85rd is supposed to be worked in and immediately removed. It is not supposed to be allowed to dry. Did you let it dry? If so, that is why it was hard to remove.

Thanks for the compliment. The pic doesn't do it justice. No, I didn't let it dry. I did 2x2 sections and immediately wiped off with an MF towel. I may have overstated the "hard to get off part". It was harder to get off than the sealant, but it's not like I tore my arm off.

The original posting for this contest stated entries must be submitted by the end of the month ( July) ?? but people are still submitting entries and we are now into the 2nd day of the Month of August.......its not really a big deal....but why have a dead line.

Well I said end of the month, did not put in exact date sorry but I can't see where there is any harm in picking the winner tomorrow. We are all here to have fun and learn and that is what I am trying to do with this contest.
On that note, winner will be picked tomorrow, I really appreciate everyone that entered into this. You are all winners in my mind for taking the time to share your work with everyone. I don't think those that haven't done a show and shine realize the amount of time that goes into shooting the pictures and posting the write up.
