This looks like a new offering from Saleen....

Seems to be based on a Tesla Model S, it's good to see electrics and hybrids being embraced by the performance community, lessens the anxiety that cars will be boring in the future.

I owned one of theses..........nice!

All I can think of when I hear Vega (not talking about Ray :p ) is the description I read about them being "made out of compressed rust" and they were prone to just disintegrating if you drove through a big enough pothole.

To be fair, everything rusted back then, and some of the most beloved brands today (Honda, Toyota, Datsun (Nissan) ) were incredible rust buckets back then.

Yep they did rust quick..........some on the show room floor!

Check out this really old Audi - Almost looks like a Morris Minor crossed with a Mini Cooper....
...

:xyxthumbs:

That's a DKW. It was sold under the Auto Union "umbrella" (merger of DKW, Audi, Horch and Wanderer - 4 brands, hence 4 rings) which later, and after the merger with NSU, became Audi NSU Auto Union and, some years on, simply Audi (in 1985).

Very interesting.... thanks for chiming in and adding that little bit of car history.

I'm not sure what this is but I think from the lack of a front grill for air intake and the air grills on the back fender is some version of a Corvair with an air cooled engine?

:)[/QUOTE]

Yup, that be a Corvair. One of the more expensive ones. Most of the ones that one saw were the epitome 'plain Janes.'

I must admit, I did have to do a Google to be sure...LOL.

Ref that pic of George Barris, GOOD EYE!
