Available dates for Roadshow Classes!

Currently I'm in contact with a number of people to schedule our Roadshow Detailing Classes this year. Instead of sending and e-mail to multiple people, I'm listing the available dates in this thread and sending everyone the link.

First the format Friday and Saturday are the class dates and then Sunday is reserved for IDA Skills Validation Testing for anyone that attended one or both days of the classes and now wants to become IDA Skills Validated. If you're reading this and wanting to hold one of our classes at your facility but would prefer to hold the class on Saturday and Sunday then we can do that too....

That said, here are the weekends available, they are blocked out in YELLOW

awesome post Mike !!! :)

Ahh.... it's just info presented in a graphical way for others but mostly for me as scheduling is the toughest part of any undertaking like this...

For me, I have to see where major holidays are throughout the calendar year and then when specific events take place. For example I have both Mobile Tech Expo and Detail Fest on the calendar as I work at both of these events and can't be out n California at the same time teaching a class.

I couldn't find a calendar that I could modify and would fit nicely on a computer monitor or a phone or table so I created a calendar in Microsoft Word and then modified it and then took screenshots of it. After getting the initial screenshot I then cropped out the original 5 times to create 4 graphics.

Simple Simon.

I have not posted the "Announcement Threads for the most recent announced roadshow classes as I'm waiting for the store pages to be created on Autogeek.com

That said, the pricing structure is the exact same for ALL roadshow classes.

So if you want to see the prices, simply click on any of the classes on this store page.

Autogeek's Roadshow Detailing Classes

And as soon as the new store pages are created for the newly announced classes I'll put up the announcement threads.

It takes me a little time to "type" out all this stuff and behind the scenes I actually do other things. So thank you for your patience.

And here's the pricing structure...

Friday Class = $495.00 with a $100.00 AG store credit if you sign up early.

Saturday Class = $495.00 with a $100.00 AG store credit if you sign up early.

Both days, $990.00 with a $200.00 AG store credit if you sign up early.

The TOPICS and the TOOLS are different for both days so there's compelling reasons to attend both days. BUT - for people that don't have the budget for both days, choose the day that has the tools you want to most learn about and you STILL have a GREAT class and tons of hands-on time detailing cars.

Friday = Short Stroke DA polishers and the RUPES BigFoot System

Saturday = FLEX Tools and the Griot's BOSS system

And if a person actually clicks the links for any of the classes all the other topics are listed in DETAIL.

Or - click and read ANY Of the threads I create that document happy people having fun at ANY of the classes I teach and I think a person will get a good idea of what you get when you attend one of our classes.

Like this one,

323 Pictures - Autogeek's Hands-On Roadshow Detailing Classes!

Search the Internet for a thread like the one above that documents exactly how hands-on someone else's class is? I've already looked.... nothing.

Yes and that's in Canyon County, California.

When I do all this behind the scenes planning, one of the things I do is get the address of the actual facility, not just things like the address of the corporate office because sometimes, and in this case, they are different.

Great question, thank you for asking.

Also - Jim Lafeber just e-mailed me and confirmed October 19th, 20th and 21st for our Roadshow Class in Chicago!

Hey Mike,

I’m only seeing July 13-14 dates at the 3D Training Center. Is the July 15th class not available anymore?

Hey Mike,

I’m only seeing July 13-14 dates at the 3D Training Center. Is the July 15th class not available anymore?

Just to clarify...

This is the format for roadshow classes

Friday - class - different tools, different topics
Saturday - class - different tools, different topics
Sunday - IDA Skills Validation Testing

The classes are Friday and Saturday. I share TONS of information on the tools and topics on this forum and the sign-up pages if you need more information. Heck, I can even get the links and post them below if someone needs me to do this.

I created this format because a lot of people said they wanted to attend a class but could not afford our 3-day class here in Stuart, Florida at $1,800.00

Last summer when I did 2 roadshow classes at $990.00, some people said they could not afford $990.00 for a 2 day class even when we bring the class to them. (no travel, hotel, rental car and meals expenses like people that fly to Stuart incur).

So I broke the 2 day class up into individual days, so a person could sign up for just ONE day. Of course you can't use ALL the tools taught in 2 days in one day, so a person has to decide which day they want to attend the most. You will learn a TON at either day, of course both days are best if a person can afford it.

THEN --> because Autogeek and most of the companies we carry are members of and supporters of the IDA or International Detailing Association, JUST LIKE I OFFER HERE IN STUART, FLORIDA, SV TESTING AFTER MY 3-DAY CLASS --> WE OFFER SV TESTING AFTER THE 2 DAY CLASS.

So there isn't really a "class" on Sunday, it's reserved for Skills Validation testing for anyone in the area or anyone that just attended either Friday, or Saturday classes, or both days.

Doing our best to cater to everyone but at some point, all the people that have called me, PM'd me, Facebook messaged, me e-mailed, me over the years ASKING for us to bring our 3-day class out on the road - now it's time to clear your schedule and arrange your budget and get signed up for a class or these classes will simply go away.

Hope the helps...

Here's the Friday class

Friday - Tools & Topics

Class starts at 7:30am sharp and goes until 5:30pm

Morning Session

Coffee and donuts are provided

Short Stroke Free Spinning Random Orbital Polishers

***Multiple-Step or Show Car Detailing***

Short Stroke Polishers
Short stroke polishers are considered 8mm orbit stroke length or smaller. For example, the Porter Cable is an 8mm orbit stroke length polisher and thus considered a short stroke polisher. The Griot's 3" Random Orbital Polisher is a 5mm orbit stroke length polisher and also considered a short stroke polishers.

The first short stroke free spinning random orbital polisher to mainstream was the Porter Cable 7424 and 7336 back in the early 1990s when Meguiar's introduced it to the car detailing world as an safe alternative to rotary buffers. Since then, a number of tools have been introduced that like the Porter Cable polishers, use an 8mm orbit stroke length with a free spinning spindle bearing and a counterweight to provide inertia and thus maintain pad rotation under pressure and around curved body panels, these would include,

  • Porter Cable 7424XP and all older versions
  • Griot's Garage 6" Random Orbital Polisher
  • Meguiar's G110, G110v2 and MT300
  • Chemical Guys TORQ 10FX
  • Chemical Guys Torq X
  • Chicago Electric 6" Polisher (Harbor Freight DA)
  • Shurhold Dual Action Polisher
  • DAS-6 Pro Dual Action Polisher
  • Plus other no name brands that have copied the Porter Cable design

Many benefits to short stroke polishers
Ever since the Porter Cable was introduced and now all the various versions of this design, MILLIONS of cars have been de-swirled and the paint perfected to show car quality. Besides being used to correct, polish and seal paint these short stroke polishers are also good for machine wet sanding and with the attachment of a brush, machine scrubbing. Short stroke polishers also work great for mechanically decontaminating paint using clay pads and we'll cover this in the class too. While the current rage is for free spinning long stroke polishers, the tried and true short stroke polishers are a LOT less prone to pad stalling simply due to the nature of the short stroke.

In fact, If I could only choose two tools to do all my detailing work I would choose a rotary polisher and a short stroke polishers. With just these two tools I can do every car and boat detailing procedure under the sun. I cannot do every procedure with just one tool and I cannot do every procedure with any other combination of just 2 tools. So don't get caught up in the latest rage, attend this class and learn how to maximize the effectiveness of short stroke polishers!

In this class you will learn how to,

  1. Mechanically decontaminate paint
  2. Compound to correct paint and remove swirls, scratches, water spots and oxidation.
  3. Polish paint to maximize gloss, shine and clarity.
  4. Machine apply a wax or synthetic paint sealant to protect the paint and lock in the shine.

Product include,
  1. Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay and Clay Lube
  2. Pinnacle Advanced Compound

  4. Pinnacle Liquid Souveran Wax
  5. Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax

Pads include Lake Country 5.5" Flat Pads

There can be some changes in the above but the BIG PICTURE was to create COMPELLING CONTENT so that most people will want to attend both days.

It's a LOT more complex taking our 3-day hands-on class across the country than most people know. This isn't a "get-together" ins some guys garage.

Have you seen the pictures in these two threads?
