Hey guys, I just want to take a quick sec to say hello. I currently own an commercial exterior cleaning company (profesional pressure washing) that has been doing fairly well for the past 7 years. There are ups and downs every year but nothing like the last 4-6 months have been. A lot of my commercial accounts and customers that I could always rely on really just freaked out at the whole fiscal cliff and the uncertianty of what thier business structure may have to adapt to in order to stay afloat in 2013. So that left me saying yes to some things we would normally turn down. I always have office managers ask me come and detail their cars (or what I thought was detailing) on site. Like I said I would normally turn those down just because it's not really what were set up for nor do I have the know how, but at this point I am having to say yes and do anything that comes our way.
After a few days of doing some basic wash & vac's, I think I may be more interested in learning how to do real details vs the mentioned wash & vac. I'm sure there are a lot of you out there who make some good coin from that business model but I just feel like theres probably more $$ to be made in restoration or higher end detail. So with that said here I am, reading, reading, searching and more reading..
What I really wanted to say is, great forum here!! I belong to many other trade forum's and this place is ROCKING compared to A lot of other industries.
Also if you have any questions about machines, pressure washing, trailer set-up's feel free to ask.
