"Ewww, that's nasty!" - My reaction when Nicole, one of Autogeek's customer service representatives, showed me the milk stains on the rear seats of her Mazda Tribute. When Nicole isn't at Autogeek takin' care of business, she's usually hauling around a car full of kids to basketball games, foot ball games, and so forth. You know, the stuff moms usually do. So while playing chauffeur the other weekend for her son and his friends, an accident happened that involved a whole lot of milk.

To remove the stains without getting too involved, the Aztec Hot Rod Hot Water Extractor was the obvious choice. Milk, bodily fluids, dirt and grime don't stand a chance against the Aztec Hot Rod Hot Water Extractor. If it's made of carpet or upholstery, the Aztec Hot Rod can clean it. No ifs, ands or buts about it. The Aztec Hot Rod Hot Water Extractor is to stains as Mike Phillips' big block Chevy is to gasoline - say goodbye!

I started off by pre-treating the area with Detailer's Pro Series Carpet Extractor Pre-Treatment. With the purchase of an Aztec Hot Rod - or any other carpet extractor at Autogeek - a 32 oz. bottle of this is included. DP Carpet Extractor Pre-Treatment was designed specifically for use with carpet extractors. This intense cleaner is non-foaming, pH-balanced and doesn't stiffen fibers in carpet or upholstery. It is highly concentrated meaning a little bit of cleaner goes a long way.

While the Aztec was heating up, I equipped a Porter Cable 7424xp with an Ultra Soft Grey Upholstery Brush. We have a complete line of brushes available that are compatible with the Porter Cable 7424xp and they range from super stiff to ultra soft. These brushes make cleaning carpet and upholstery by hand a thing of the past. Work smart and not hard.

After the Aztec is heated up, hold the trigger and spray directly into the solution tank until hot water comes out. This helps because upon first using the extractor after it has sat for a while, there will still be some water left in the lines.

Time to start cleaning! If you can find a hot water carpet extractor that's easier to use than the Aztec, buy it.

Before I knew it, the stains disappeared.

A couple minutes later the milk stains were gone and the seats looked new again.

Everything looks amazing on this and I would love to purchase it...but I just can't pull the trigger...

THE PRICE!!! :wow:

Did you use any soirt of chemical in the extractor tank or only use the pre treatment and hot water?

You aren't supposed to use cleaner in the tank with the Aztec. If you have a need to do that, you need the Mytee Lite. It's a great machine as well with a little more pressure.

LOL tan to grey, amazing.Had Mytee,1 year pump failed replaced under warranty sold ASAP. Went with Aztec, going on 4 years,no issue whatsoever. Great machine for the money and its size. Nice write up Nick

The Aztec Hot Rod, or any carpet extractor for that matter, is a worthy investment, especially if you're a professional detailer. :dblthumb2:

As Robert said, no chemical in the extractor itself.

it turned the tan seats into gray seats.

It sure appears that way doesn't it? The lighting in the Show Car Garage along with the flash of my camera made the seats look like a different color. That, and the Aztec removed a couple layers of dirt that was surely affecting the color too. :)

Thanks Darren! We've had the same Aztec for a couple years now and like everything else in the Show Car Garage, it gets used often. We haven't experienced any problems with it and Mike even uses it in some of his classes. :righton:

How well would this work for spots in home carpet? 3 dogs and 2 cats can make for some fun spot cleaning :)

It will work well on spots on any carpet. I wouldn't want to try to clean a whole room. Make sure you spray urine spray to neutralize the stain. Pet urine can be challenging.
