back pain?

:wow:I thought it was just me,that got back pain from buffing. Since the bug hit me I expect it when I pull out my supplies, when its all over I throw on some Bio-freeze take a couple muscle relaxers and if that doesn't work, plug in the heating pad till I can get to the chiropractor.Ive only been 25 for 25 years and thought back pain was for 30 year olds

:iagree:In addition to everything else listed here (gym, stretching, massage, drugs, and beer), I've become a believer in Physical Therapy. My guy has done wonders for my back and neck. In addition to treatment there, I also have specific stretches & exercises to do at home. Unfortunately, getting old just sucks. It takes discipline to stick to a routine of working out, eating relatively healthy, and keeping your body limber, but it does pay off in the end.

I hope a lot. lol I'm never certain what will be coming when I stand up. Arthritic spine. Sometimes it forgets to bother me and I keep going till I get what I want done. Sometimes I pay dearly for it but it's worth the pain. It goes away eventually and I start all over again.

I eat a protien bar after a long detailing job, it seems to help my lower back muscles to repair while I sleep that night. With all the carbs though it probably adds to the root cause of my problem which is too much belly.

I have the same problems.. I'm not a small guy by ANY means.. 6'7" 360lbs! So i play hell crawling in the back seat of a Honda civic to clean the back window! lol

I have started using a heating pad at night while i sleep.. seems to be helping me a good deal!

OH.. AND TO THE COORS LIGHT... WILD TURKEY WILL WORK A LITTLE FASTER! :)

you can always try using one of those rubber bands to help with back muscles too

im going back towork tomorrow. landscaping season is starting. so this should allow my bones to get a nice work out ....... :xyxthumbs:

im like travis pastrana. Im 24 years old and need to slowly get myself up for about 30 minutes every morning. Ive hurt myself millions of times, more than most people in there lifetime, in the past 24 years. Ive broken SOOO many bones, or pulled, or sprainede, dislocated something... lol

EVERY time i detail, i am in incredible pain for an entire week. i even work out every day and that doesnt help. Yes i stretch before EVERYTHING i do, even sleep...

my lower back pretty much is non stop pain.

I cant wait til im 30, ill have the body of a 80 year old. But all i can say is i have lived life to the fullest, LOL.

sooo, how you doing now that you're almost 40?

I’ve always wondered if those inverted tables that have you hang upside down help alleviate back pain.

I actually woke up with excruciating back pain this morning. Felt like a pinched nerve, wicked pain, like ruin your Memorial Day bad… I got on the mountain bike and booked it around the park full speed for about a half hour and once I was done the pain was about 80% gone. Took a good shower and the other 20% was gone within a half hour and I was grilling meat pain free.

Thank goodness because otherwise there would’ve been no way. I couldn’t even stand up. It was level 9 pain. Sometimes you just gotta beat pain at its own game.Lol.

I'm experiencing some tightness in the back tonight, I helped my nephew move house today, plenty of heavy lifting. So I get my back roller out, this is my second one, the first one was a cheapy, I discovered it was actually a PVC pipe with foam around it, one day it made a cracking noise, that wasn't my back cracking, when I was rolling on it with almost my full weight on it, back then I was almost 280lbs, but I'm down to about 250 now, but I only use the solid foam ones now, these things are great. You can also do your calves and thighs with it, but they can be painful.

I've got a hollow roller. When I've had lower back pain, I've also included using a TENS unit and doing a lower back yoga routine.

I've got arthritis in my lower spin pretty badly and what helped improve my ability to do about everything was yoga superman exercises. Both my hips have been replaced and because of my bad hips for decades, my core muscles were absolute isht.

I started out with (and still do) this one...

Then after several weeks, I also do exercises like this...

That didn't "fix" my arthritis, but it greatly increased what I can tolerate.

When I'm going to wash/wax/polish a car, I'll warm up my back muscles...
