Is the backing plate supposed to be screwed on or does it just go into the pc? The backing plate I order wasn't able to get screwed on so if I flip it upside as if I were to work on a car it would fall off. I know this is probably a super newb question but I figured it'll screw on just like pad that came with the pc.

mine screwed onto the spindle, and was tightened with the included wrench.

see nipple (spindle) that juts out, that tightens into PC.

It should screw on at least the 5 in. flexible plate that I have does. Mike...

Well that means the one I have is broken. It won't screw onto my pc like the white pad that came with the PC. The part that screws on isn't big enough. I guess i'll call customer service.

you may have gotten a rotary plate which has a female thread on the plate where the screws into the thread....where as a PC has a male thread which screws into the PC.....
if your plate has a hole on top with threads inside it..then it is a rotary plate....

if it has a screw type thread on top like the PC original white pad has it should work then...

look on AG at the plates..look at a rotary one and a PC one..see which one you have

I've got item number LC-43-125D which is a 5" DA hook and loop flexible backing plate. It said it should work for the PC in the description.

well if that is the plate you ordered...and it does not have a male thread on top..then you indeed got a bad plate.....

as for your frozen products..warm them and shake them...shake often till they feel room temp...do not try to heat them...let them warm normaly...but shake every 10 minutes..till they feel room temp...after they thaw and they look creamy..they should be ok ..if like cottage cheese...call AG..

Here's some pictures that I just took and let me know if it looks normal.

To me it looks like the threads are stripped like it has been cross threaded at one point or time. Did it look like that when you recieved it, because the threads on the backing plate should look like the ones on the white pad? Also could you maybe supply a picture of the PC female threads? Mike...

My camera just ran out of battery so i'm still charging it. I'll post up pictures when it's been recharged. If you're thinking I striped it, I didn't. If you look at the thread that came with the pc, you'll notice that the screw is way bigger than the backing plate's screw. I wasn't even able to screw it onto the pc.

The picture of your backing plate the threads looked damaged so if you didn't strip them, then it was sent to you with stripped out threads. If you order it from AG give them a call and let them know so that they can get you squared away. Mike...

Do these backing plates strip rather easily? I've used mine twice now, and it's already stripped?!?! I tightened it with the wrench that was included with the PC, did I do something else wrong? Anyone know where to get higher quality backing plates so that this wont happen again???
