Backing Plate Removal

Does anyone know how to remove a backing plate off of the 7424XP without the thin wrench? I don't have one, and I want to remove my 6" backing plate for my 3.75" one.

Short of contacting PC and you're in need quickly...maybe hack saw a 'thinish' piece of steel to shape (?).

I think Dave found a wrench that will work at a bicycle shop. Carry your machine with you and see what gives
 
Go to Sears and buy a slim wrench that fits; I think it's a 1/2 or 9/16 so just find an open end wrench that does the job...
