Hey there guys. A while ago i bought the CG self centering pads and backing plate for the pads as well. A couple weeks later, i was using the pad+backing plate combo and a couple minutes in my whole backing plate and pad flew off from the PC. The threads in the backing plate were gone, just eaten away. I know for a fact i tightened everything well before use, so i contacted CG. After speaking with one of their reps, i got them to send me a new pad and backing plate (4inch spot pad and the 3 inch flex pro backing plate they make specifically for the 4 inch pads fyi) When i received them, i noticed they the backing plate looked used, and abused. I ignored it and just thought oh well. I used it today, and wallah, SAME PROBLEM OCCURED. While detailing i noticed that the backing plate was getting loose so i stopped and inspected it. Once again, the threads were completely chewed away, and all the shrapnel had collected on the back of the pad. I wanna know if this is a know problem or what because im getting very annoyed by this. I have 4 of these pads that i cant use, because the backing plate is so poorly made it cant handle speed settings 5 or 6 on a PC! I sent an email to them 3 days ago but it doesnt look like they wanna deal with my crap anymore by the looks of it. God im so frustrated!
