So I'm browsing Craigslist in my area for objects of interest and stumble upon this post.
CUSTOM detailing & accerraries
I'm sorry but if you can't even spell accessories right or at the very least use a spell check then you cannot be trusted around detailing. Just my opinion IMO.

Some nice bikes. I see so many post on Craigslist with bad spelling.

When your target audience has no clue that there are spelling or grammar mistakes, it gives you a very strong idea of whom you're dealing with.

Its the simplest thing to do, just spell check it. I use Google Chrome and it tells me automatically if I spelled something wrong. Its laziness in my opinion and if they're too lazy to do something as easy as that then I don't even want to think of how lazy they are when it comes to something such as detailing.

Bad spelling is all over, just check out the many posts here on this forum. How many people type, "its going good", rather than, it's (as in it is).

"Your doing just fine", rather than, you're (you are).

"There trying to help", instead of, they're (they are)... and the list goes on.

Seriously? Since when is it ok to put down people on here? Her work seems to speak for itself. The bikes look really good and that's all that matters. There should be no reason to put down someone else because they misspelled something. That is just childish. There are plenty of crapy detailers around my area as well that don't have a clue how to detail but I'm not going to put them down on a public forum. Grow up people.

I'd wager you were taught phonics in grade school. The sad part is they're (not their or there) getting paid (not payed), too (not to or two).

I believe I was taught, were teached phonics, or something like that. Now I'm hooked. Hi, I am Scrubs and I am a Phonic-a-holic.

You flamming the OP for sharing his opinion on professionalism is childish. And now I am being childish.

Yes its very childish what he did. He really didn't have to share the link to the persons post on Craigslist. First off what if she was a member in here? Secondly what if one of her customers are on this forum and come across that.
Seriously that was just a worthless post and extremely unprofessional. For being a business owner I would never publicly put another person of the trade down. Especially if you don't even know the person.

First of all this is a forum were people can speak there mind on a number of things in the detailing world with others who share your passion, that Craigslist post is a form of advertisement, where you are trying to bring revenue in. I don't know about you, but when a I create ANY form of advisement for my business I make sure everything is right from the spelling to word placement. I can only wonder if she had received any business with that post because anyone can see that it's spelled wrong.

Like I said it's a form of advertisement, especially when your advertisement is your customers first impression of you, something as simple as misspelled words can deter them from going to you. Can purely be meant as an educational tool /advice something to consider instead of getting offended.

Listen it's not the fact that I don't agree on what you're saying. Yes it's a huge first impression. However did you really have to post the ladies Craigslist ad? That's the rude part of this.
Also trust me this is not a forum where you can say what you want. They are rediculous on their rules here and uptight. Lol trust me I know.

Before the days of self-serve filling stations (era 1970) I went into a combination gas station/domino parlor in rural OK. I asked the guy behind the counter to fill it up please. His reply to me was "can't ya read the sign sonny?" I looked out front and it read "hepursef" which he informed me meant help yourself. Kind of crude but it served it's purpose and got the point across.
