Badly Damaged Wood Dash, Suggestions?

I picked up a job yesterday to detail then sell an '82 Rolls Silver Spur. The car is in excellent condition with the exception of the laminated wood dash as you can see below. Aside from having the dash pulled and re-laminated, can anyone think of any other way this might be fixed/re-done?

If it is cracked as it appears your only option is to pull the dash and re-veneer it. Those cars used real wood veneers so you will have to veneer it and finish it if you want it to be authentic.
