I would strongly suggest not to use Simple Green on the paint. I just saw pictures on another forum where a guy literally burned through the clear coat by leaving Simple Green on the paint for too long. It's very strong stuff and for me personally, I would be terrified to touch my paint with it.

After using S.G. over 7 years on countless cars, I have never seen any damage. Every car you have seen posted has had Simple Green sprayed on windsheild, frontend and mirrors. I wash my truck and Benz bi-weekly and spray them down everytime since new and no damage at all. I can truthfully say this is the best thing ever made for removing bugs and grime. I would love to see the link to damaged pics.

Another car that I have been using Simple Green since new (washed today), now 3 yrs old and washed weekly.

Do you guys dillute the SG or just spray it on there and wash it off?
In the past, I've mess up some paint using SG, I didn't dilute.
I use Bug Squash now.

How much better is this than Megs APC
I have never used Megs APC to get bugs off. I know Justin uses Megs APC, don't know if he uses it for getting bugs off. PM Justin, He's a nice guy and has help me out before.

You got me thinking about using my steam cleaner on the inside of the engine compartment. Hmmmmmmm???????????

Just be careful. I wouldn't use it on a cold engine the temperature difference might crack the engine block.

Here's the link to the pics. You'll have to scroll down some because he didn't post the pictures initially.

Want a simple method to keep bugs off the front of your car?

Just take a little WD-40 and mist over a CLEAN front end, then lightly wipe down with a dry cloth.

When you return from your trip, or you are done driving for the week, simply spray a little Simple Green where the WD was to remove the WD-40 and the dead bugs.

It wont harm the paint, period. I've used it on 60,000.00 Corvettes, my BMW, numerous trucks, and just used it on my 06 Saleen.

Bugs can't stick, so they are easy to remove.
