Basecoat/clearcoat? OR Single Stage?



This car was restored and repainted and has spent the last 15 years of its life in a museum. (Maybe longer)

Here's the car before I buff it out...

Before I buff it out I'm going to test the paint to see if it's basecoat/clearcoat of single stage.

Take your best guess!

Single stage. Last time I had a chance to guess the answer to this question I guessed basecoat/clearcoat and I guessed wrong.

Base coat, clear coat. With a tint of orange to the clear. Just to be different

***Update***

Hood and trunk are now compounded, polished and waxed, all that are left are the 6 side panels.

For what it's worth, I couldn't tell if it was single stage or basecoat/clearcoat until I tested the paint.

You can't always tell just by looking at a car or the paint on a car, the accurate way is to test. Here's an article on how to test...
