Wouldn't that be alot easier than converting my battery terminals to posts and then converting my battery cables to clamps for those posts??

Just don't hook it up according to the picture ... they just shorted ground to positive. :bolt:

Okay so I got two new battery cable bolts with accesory studs, enlarged the ring terminals with a dremel (couldn't find bolts with smaller studs) and all is well. Thanx for everyone who offered input here.

Good deal. So, what's the primary use for the Tender in the first place? I have two that I alternate between motorcycles and lawn mowers when they're in winter storage. In addition to keeping the batteries charged the BT prevents internal sulfation and results in longer battery life. Can't say as I've ever considered hooking one up to my car as it gets daily use and is maintained by the charging system.

The voltage goes up to about 14.90 when cord is first plugged in, then hovers around 13.32 after battery is fully charged. Machine automatically cycles on and off by itself. It could take 8-10 hours or so to fully charge a battery, I'm not sure, I never stuck around long enough to see when the charge light went off.

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop

I plug mine into my aux port next to the cigarette lighter. The sell adapters to mate the charger to a battery how ever u want. I got tired of opening the hood all the time. I run a long extention cable thru the window to the adapter. I also put a fuse inline by cutting the fuse holder out of an extra battery connection wire. A few wire terminal accesories and u can make anything fit. My truck isn't used much so I plug in the charger a lot all year round.

i have these tenders on,my 92 lincoln mark vii lsc, honda generator, the battery for my shop stereo, the i h 240 tractor, golf cart, and my 88 f150,and the simplicity mower. keeps them alive.
