Battle of the tire coatings...TW vs. DP

oh man you're glad we met I have same truck ,I put that stuff on the cladding and mirrors .Looked stunning for about 2 months then all hell broke loose on mirrors has a yellowish hue to them, forget about tires it will crack on you.The cladding looks good till I pumped gas,and the residual ate right through the coating .Now I'm gonna have to scuff it down and reapply.Once you use it you're married to it.Do not put that on anything .A good product is meguairs it's a red liquid it 10 bucks at ag awesome stuff it's a 365 day paint protection use it on rubber cladding etc.It won't be durable like the coatings doesn't run when it rains like dressing do but you will thank me 2 or three months later.Solution finish is awesome to.

What are you taking about? Who met who?

Nice comparison ! I'm leaning towards TW here. .....but then again I have plastidip on my tires....so I never clean or dress them anyways

TW is not only available OTC but it's a complete kit and just holds up better, the pics don't lie which is why I'm doing this test. The DP has no Browning but the TW is darker after 2 monthes.

No worries because help is on the way for him:

...some people have to learn the hard way:nomore:

I actually did wash the van at almost the 3 month mark but didn't get a chance to wipe them down with the usual QD. I can say this, both are appearing to fade a bit but without the wiping it's hard to speak about Browning but it's starting to go away though.

I just got new tires for my wife's Mazda 6 and used Bleache White to clean them. I let them dry and a couple hours later applied 1 coat of TW tire coating. This morning I applied a 2nd coat. Finally this evening when we got home from running around I just applied the 3rd and final coat, for quite a while actually. I plan on doing a new test...brand new tires, cleaned once and 3 coats to take on the winter! This product needs to be applied when it's 60 degrees or warmer, so I had to take advantage of today as it was almost 70 and its downhill from here, 40 for a high this Saturday...bring it 👈

Did you use the DP tire cleaner prior to applying the DP Tire Coating?

Just thinking if not using it affected the longevity of the product seeing as they are supposed to be used together based on what Nick has posted a few times.

TW is a little less forgiving when it comes to a dedicated tire cleaner.

The fact that TW doesn't require the purchase of a cleaner is a plus right there.

It does come with it's own tire cleaner. That said, I really like Bleache White for my tire cleaning.

4 MONTHES in...silver wheel is the TW but it's in the sun after wiping. The black wheel is DP and the 5 spoke wheel is my wife's Mazda 6 after 3 weeks (brand new tires)

What do you guys think?!

I can say that since I wiped them this morning and have driven the black wheel tire has this thin brown line on it.

The pictures need to be in the same kind of lightning in order to form a good opinion.

Agreed but in person there's not much left but a natural black tire for the most part.

I know this is a workvan, but I've found Meguiars D143 as spray and hose off to work great for cleaning the tires while not removing the Endura Coat.

One thing I've noticed that's the same on my cars tires as the tire on your mazda, I'm getting those same white lines that are by the c and the n. This is also as I mentioned in another thread, only on my back tires which are a different make and model than my front tires. All in all the fronts are looking great with the tw coating, the rears are leaving lots to be desired look.

I also can say I wish mine had the slight sheen as yours, mine are far too shiney!

Come spring I think I'll go back to using my own trick that I've been doing with my summers wheel and tires.

Maybe it's the brand of tires and because they got a slight cleaning👈
