Battle of the tire coatings...TW vs. DP

Just curious why in the last pictures the tires are on the opposite colored wheels?

Just an FYI to you guys, DP tire coating is on BOGO and its $24.99 for the 8 oz bottle, so 16 ounces for the price of 8 ounces. Even though I like TW better the DP is still a solid product and now that its on BOGO its a good time to jump on it.

One thing I like about DP better is it doesn't stain your wheels lip if you get some on there and it dries up. Actually the TW does come off if it dries you just have to use "something" on it to get it off, that's all, glad I clarified that:o

I haven't gotten any on the wheels in a long time. Once you get used to it, you become an expert at applying the stuff:)

Well that's good for you but I don't have such luck, LOL.

Lol. It is a PITA when it does get on the wheels.. Doesn't exactly come off too easy unless you use the right stuff. What do you use? I've found that a magic eraser wipes it right off. But you don't exactly want to be taking a magic eraser at your wheels all the time😜

Seeing the battle started on August 11th 2015 it's long over, especially due to time but also due to winter finally arriving here in Chicagoland. That said, I will snap some pics when I wash the van next time and wipe the tires down afterwards with some QD.

Stay "tuned" 🔎

When I get it on wheels, I use griots garage bug and smudge remover. Got it at advance on closeout for $2! Works perfect.

My wife's car is used and abused, gets washed about every 2 weeks or so, so it's a great test bed for the TW tire coating. It's been very cold and sloppy here the past couple weeks and I just washed her car this morning.

I used Megs MB wheel cleaner for the rims and sprayed Bleache White on the tires and gave them a light rub with my wheel brush. I usually put up pics but her car is down in the garage and the lighting isn't the best but I can report that after I dried the tires and wheels they still have a nice, matte finish on them, no browning to be found!

I know there's other choices out there but there's no way I'll ever use anything else on my tires. Not only does it perform but when you factor in price and availability, not to mention that stellar performance, well, it's THE best tire product IMO👍👍

@KlasseAct. What's Megs MB Wheel Cleaner?
And you spray Bleche White on the tires when TW Tire Coat is on them? And you scrub them too?😯 It doesn't remove it?
You need to get some Megs D143 my friend. It does great on the rims, and it's spray & hose off on the tires coated with TW Tire Coat. Cleans off the surface dirt and reveals the deep black TW Coat without making a dent in it.👌🏼

I don't really scrub too hard because you don't need to but I can honestly tell you that I've used left over RW on the tires and it cleans them well too. I used Bleache White because they were REALLY dirty.

The coating holds up well for atleast 6 weeks but during the winter I can't reapply unless I go to my buddy's shop and apply inside where it's over 60 degrees, so for me I'm just going to ride it out because they're only winter tires anyways.

I've been calling it MB since it came out😋

I probably should've posted the pics of the tires at the 5 month mark but I didn't, sorry. I can say that after just running the van through the wash and going down the road the tires showed no Browning but no sheen either, both of them.
