Had the radio on while working and heard this:

From the Daily News:

""Two Long Island men were found dead Thursday night from apparent carbon monoxide poisoning at the car wash where they worked, police said.

The body of Porfiro Alvarez, 46, of Freeport, owner of Super Auto Detail at 1372 Lincoln Ave. in Holbrook, was found at the car wash lying beside the deceased’s 1989 GMC van, officials said. The vehicle apparently ran out of gas after it was left running with the heat set on high, police said.

The remains of Rufino Gonzalez, 25, of Bellport, who also worked at the car wash, were discovered lying on a mattress in the back of the van, according to officials.

Police say both men were known to sleep at the business on occasion and suspect they died from the van's carbon monoxide fumes.""

For the guys that have shops be careful.
My guess is they had the car running to warm the shop up because is was very very cold last night.
Hope is no one from the community. Rest in peace to them.

RIP

my friend died in his garage like that while working on his car. please be careful!

This is why everyone should have a carbon monoxide alarm in their garage and home (near furnace). It protects you and your family.
