Beading sizes UPGP/Nattys Blue/Fuzion

Thank you, sir.

No, Thank you!

Pretty cool comparison, especially with the dust/pollen. It's a coincidence I found my car looking the same way the day after I waxed it last week. Great job documenting this, thanks!

Yeah, the pollen is striking isn't it. Thank you

On your first pictures the Natty Blue seems deeper.
I didn't go back and look but that makes a lot of sense. That many weeks for a wax seems like it would really be pushing it. Not sure if its affecting it but the car is also dirtier right now then when the first batch of pics was taken.

Re: now... I am confused...

the link goes to an Ultima product, then you say it is made by Four Star... two different products...

sorry... which is which...

maybe it is just me... wink/smile... do they both go by UPGP... ???

Ultima products are made by 4 Star manufacturing. Hope that clears things up. Four star also has their own sealant, but no WOWA type (Wipe On Walk Away)

Well heres some pics of the Natty's Blue paste 3+ months old compared to natty's paste 2 days old. Looks like the test for durability is over after all!

Blue car = OLD
Green car = NEW

Thanks for the pictures Corey! After seeing how it deflected that pollen, I ordered a 4oz bottle on my last order along with some FK425. If you can't tell, I'm going for as Anti-Static as I can get :) . Dry with FK425 after applying UPGP should give me some pretty anti-static paint (White) and should also help with those pesky Iron Particles! (I hope)

I was just looking at this thread and realized... Looking at the original posting and the pollen posting which I know are correct as is it looks like on this particular post I wrote the sides backwards. Here it is reposted with the correction in red. Confusing because I was taking pictures from the back, front, and directly overhead standing on the drivers side. Oops!

After 3 1/2" months (14 weeks) I took another picture this morning. Keep in mind the car is dirty so the beading would probably be a little better if it was clean.

Anyway you can still see the differences in the 2 sides.

Corey,

Thanks for linking back to this thread. It seems that the blue paint has a different blue tone with UPGP vs Natty's blue. It looks like Natty's beads might be smaller initially than UPGP but Natty's has lost it by 3.5 months. The UPGP beads are also larger after 3 months.

The pollen shot was definately interesting. Maybe I will only use a sealant during the pollen months and top for beauty after those 2-3 weeks of madness.

You are correct in your observations. :props: I will say that in reality when their were no beads on it the difference in shades of blue was not as pronounced but was visible. Something important to note is that I applied the wax and sealant later in the day then I would have liked. So the UPGP probably only cured for a few hours (2-4) before moisture crept upon it... Around 8PM there was moisture building up on the car since it stays parked outside.

We garage our cars but my wife picked up a couple of Caravan pop-up canopies at CostCo years back that we use for parties and the beach. The are heavy-duty and pretty awesome!

I don't know what she paid, but you might want to consider something like that to cover the car when you need to let things cure at night or work in the sun. You could shorten the legs on the cover so the cover just sits over the paint and dew should not collect on the car.

We used them all summer on the patio over the outdoor tables instead of an umbrella, so you can get double duty if your wife questions why you would like them!:dblthumb2:

Re: Dust attraction UPGP/Nattys Blue/Fuzion

Here are some pictures after 1 day.
The waxes held onto more pollen and dust then the Ultima Sealant.

These pictures speak VOLUMES as to the advantage of using a sealant over a carnauba. I.e., DUST ATTRACTION.

Yea the dust attraction sucks but the looks of a wax like souveran later in the day is just priceless.

Yeah, but only later in the *same* day that you washed it!

;)

I have experienced static cling with WGDPS so just after I had buffed it off it was collecting residue. I wanted to wipe it down with a damp towel but had to let it cure.
