Beater rolled with Rustoleum questions

Well I picked up some more sandpaper and may attempt to get it flatter.

Going to try a another test spot with the new paper on up and see how I feel.

Thanks again for the help and comments.

ok looks good so far, ive seen one rustoleum job that had came out awesome and could not tell it was rusoleum paint, what you need to do is sand more and level out the pits(id use something like 800grit wet paper just to remove the pits, then i would go to some 1500 then go to some 2000 or 3000 as the pic of you using 105 i can still see some sanding scratches. just keep at it and im sure it will look awesome!, check carquest i found some sand paper discs very cheap few months back in the bargin bin....good luck and cant wait to see how it turns out!, so you are using a porter cable polisher right? if so what i would do is borrow a rotary from someone and use a wool pad and 105 and that should remove 1500 grit sanding marks 1500 with a foam pad on a rotary takes longer then if you would use wool and use more product imo...just a suggestion but i would go with a final sand of 2000 just to save buffing time....as i said starting to look good just keep at it!....i need to repaint my car and am going to do it myself, but in all honesty id rather spend the 70-100$ extra and just get basecoat/clearcoat paint...i really want to paint my car either blue mica metallic(2010-2011 toyota color) or lamborghini blue monterrey 3 stage, the blue monterrey is such a gorgeous color!

off topic: can we please keep religion out of autogeek forums? its just not the right place to talk publicly about religion even in off topic, religion and politics are the 2 worst things to talk about on a forum, i would keep that talk to pm's. now i'm not ragging on anyone. i'm just saying believe in what you believe but not post it where it could possibly turn very ugly because of everyone's differences....

Thanks for the insight and advice regarding my truck. I am planning on trying the process again tomorrow if I can get to it. I purchased some new paper and look forward to the project. You guys keep me striving for a better look due to your great input!

Also, I will simply refer to 2 Tim. 1:12. My intentions are never for any topic to turn ugly at all.

Again, thanks for your input regarding the finish of the paint. You are obviously extremely knowledgeable on the subject.
