So a good friend Rick who by far has some of the coolest German Cars in his stable had me do another one of them for him this week. This time it's a newer to him 2008 Audi RS4 he sourced from the original owner in Chicago last fall.

The car is really nicely cared for an doesn't appear to have been in a winter in the Midwest. Well cared for but lacking of any real paint correction or car the color just wasn't speaking wonders to what it could be if done right. It definitely needed to "pop" so that it's looks could match the sound of it's great aftermarket exhaust which at idle pales in comparison to this thing on the road.

Anyway, Rick opted for my Premium Enhancement Polish Package as I felt with that I could achieve some pretty good correction without breaking the bank. He also opted for a dual layer ceramic on the painted surfaces. I'll be ceramic coating the new Summer Wheels when Wheel Medic is done with them. 20" RS5 wheels off a newer design will really set this one off right. I think he also plans on putting back the stock gloss black B-Pillars in place of the CF Look add on ones.

BEFORE: The car lacked any sealant or wax and being it's a sit-outside car, it definitely started to hold onto a lot of contaminants.

Now onto the AFTER pics:

Thankfully Mother nature cooperated and gave me some sun but not too much and some blue sky to really make the blue tint in the color really pop!

Thanks again to Rick for his continued trust in my efforts and of course my friend Eric who's M5 I did a while back for introducing me to rick shortly after he got his car back.

The Approach Here was as follow:

  • Wash/Decon with Iron-X and Nano Mitt Medium
  • Polished with a Rupes Mille teamed with Yellow Mille Pads and CarPro Essence as the polish and base for the ceramic
  • Paint sealed up with CarPro Cquartz UK 3.0 in 2 layers with 1hr between them
  • Glass polished with Griot's Orange cutting pad and Griot's Fine Glass Polish
  • Glass Sealed with Rust-Oleum Never Wet for Glass
  • Tires Dressed with Meguiar's Hyperdressing
  • Trim dressed with WETS and wear applicable such as the grill and cowling, Meg's D4510 Plastic & Vinyl Spray was used
  • Wheels hand polished with CarPro Essence for added gloss and slight clean up with it's AIO property as some protection

Your knocking it out of the park. Car looks brand new. Those were the good ole' days when small Audi's had V8's and sounded ferocious just driving around town.

Great job on the "adult EVO"

Well done! Not the color I would have chosen for a great car but you made it shine.

Ugh such a badass car. Well done, quite surprised just a one step to get the paint like that.

I drooled over those back then, and that was my favorite color on them. It does indeed look new.

Haven’t seen the never-wet used on here. I assume it’s good stuff?

Thanks. Yep. Good clean pads, a forced rotation unit and a quality one step product can do wonders.

I've brought it up before. Yes, it works great. Lasts about 2-3 months. Key like anything is in the prep. You can definitely feel it bonding to the glass.
