Nice, what products u use? What machines?

It's more of a never-ending process than a one time detailing session. Over the past year or so, I have used Meguiar's Ult Compound and Ult Polish along with D151 Paint Rejuvenation Creme on more than one occasion (I have an older PC7424 machine with Meguiar's thin foam pads), and I have always tried to minimize washing/drying scratches and swirls. Last fall, I gave the car a good polishing with the D151 and topped it with Ult Liquid Wax for the winter. This spring (if you could call it a spring) I gave the tops a good polishing with D151.

When the wax in the D151 seemed to have given out (last Wednesday), I washed it with Deep Crystal Wash (I don't think it leaves anything behind on the paint), then I coated it with McKee's 37 Paint Coating.

Well, on the instructions, it says to TRY and keep the finish dry for 24 hours (it got rained on heavily after 12 hours) and not to wash it for a week. Since it got dirty driving it in the rain to work, I couldn't stand it, so I washed it again (yesterday) with the Deep Crystal and I had enough 37 Paint Coating for 1 more coat on the whole car. Applied by hand with a MF-covered sponge applicator, spraying the 37 on the applicator for better application control than just spraying it on the paint. 1 panel (or section on the larger panels) at a time with removal in about 2 minutes or less from the time I started applying the coating.

Bummer, I just went out to my car and saw it in "just the right lighting angle" and saw that my paint has hand-induced, straight-line 'swirls.' Of course that's in DIRECT sunlight at the perfect (90* I think) and it looks terrible. The REST of the car looks awesome. Since this is a Daily-Driven street car with over 75,000 miles, I suppose I should have to learn to deal with it, but it ain't easy .....

Yeah, good luck with that. Mine has 86k on it and it's almost devastating to see a new scratch and chip. And when I do the scratch myself, ugh.

It's just not easy dealing with it, lol.

First world problems, yeah?
