Hey everyone, it's been awhile since I've visited the forum and boy has everyone been busy!! Been busy myself with personal issues (all worked out!) and my job, especially this time of year (toy retail). Had a few questions for some of you guys so that I might tell "Santa" what to bring for next year! First off I have some pretty bad stains on my upholstery and was thinking of getting the Z-020 Tornador. The stains are mainly in my back seat of my Dodge pickup truck where the car seat is at (you can now imagine the stains). Would this product eliminate or at least minimize the stains? Since the stains probably go into the padding I wasn't sure if it would even be possible without using a heavy duty extractor. I can tell you that a rug doctor does not take the stains out. Just wanted to get some feedback. The upholstery is nothing special, just normal run of the mill material.

Second question is I need some new pads for my PC 7424 XP. I wanted to see what was new out that everyone likes and with what compounds are being used with them. I like the Poor Boys products but never have used their compounds, only Megs. Been out of the buffing thing for almost 2 years so I know some things have probably changed. Looking to get back in it and have some fun. I know my paint has orange peel in it so 100% perfection is not what I'm looking for. Just a great shine with what I have to work with.

I appreciate any and everything suggested. Going to look at making a few purchases over the next month or so. Take care everyone and thank you again!

I'll break the ice and say welcome back. There are some good threads on the Tornador just do a search. I've never used one but have thought about picking one up from time to time.

Your timing is good should be plenty of sales over the next month.

You didn't mention if interior was leather or cloth. Sounds like a daily driver so leave the orange peel if it's not too bad. Normal compounding and polishing will reduce it over time. It's better to keep the clear thicker. You should be able to polish up a nice shine then protect it with a quality wax or sealant.

Thank you for the welcome back! I will do a bit more searching on the Tornador for sure! As far as interior goes, yes it is cloth, standard everyday cloth. Honestly I will probably wait for a good sale to happen, pick one up and just try it out! I know AG has a pretty good return policy so I'm not to worried. But as far as types of pads and brands of compounds to use .....I would love to hear from others on this subject too!
